all were doing here is replacing kostka with him and adding some depth in case of injury for playoffs.

this guy isnt going to put up a lot of points, but hes a good penalty killer, blocks shots, and is by no means a wussy.

oh and he shoots right - which was also key.

Uh no. He's never required that. Lu hasn't been a distraction for his team at all and has maintained a positive attitude for the benefit of them. He also does tons of work in the community for sick children and never has a bad word to say about anyone. He's a goalie a team wants to play for and it's unfortunate his contract is so bad that it tips the scales in the other direction.

Kostka and Holzer are not cutting it imo.. probably a slight upgrade, hopefully more than that. Big guy, not sure is he uses it, i assume so, as i imagine RC was talked to about adding a guy like him.

They will be third, with Franson getting PP time.

I think he gets a shot with obyrne anyways. Leafs didn't bring up gardiner to let him sit, and they can't eliminate/educate him on his defensive shortcomings playing with a guy like kostka or liles.

I think those two get a shot at holdin down the bottom pairing anyways.

The Leafs got a 4th round pick for Brown last month who was a healthy scratch so basically it's Brown for O'Byrne who the Leafs can actually use on the 3rd pairing with Liles instead of Kostka
