Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC 7m Yandle price is steep. Two impact forwards, including someone who can be No.1 centre. Not getting traded unless offer PHO can't refuse.

I remember a time when people were convinced that Price was done. Shooters had figured him out, he had no glove hand...

Yeah, how did that prediction work out. He is the best goalie in the league right now IMO.

- Aetherial

See a lot of people shooting glove hand on reimer and he's been closing the door there. Shootouts and breakaways are going five hole, that's his biggest problem but price is a good comparison to reimer. Taking similar stages in development.

Thats my point. Giving the D all the credit for Reimers good play and stats this season isn't fair to Reimer. He's been good, not great, and has earned the right to keep his job.

Yes I agree not that I would cry if they decide to go a different route.

Not much we can do about it regardless!

Just keep winning the beer taste so much better then!!!!

I dont think its a bad idea for a young rebuilding team making the playoffs for the first time in about a decade. This year is just the first step on a long road to a larger goal. If we were a veteran team with a "win now" attitude, then having two goalies like Reimer/Scrivens would be a brutal decision.

They just need to figure out how to hold a lead. The whole team is to blame

20-12-4 they are doing something right I believe!

I only compare them in what people said about them. Otherwise, they are not comparable.

AKA good enough to trade for Yandle but only worth 3 million/yr and costs phil 10-20 goals a season....

No

I just think its been a team effort, it's not like Reimer drank some magic potion.

I say keep both and get the D we need to help even more!

- Garnie

Maybe Reimer hasn't had any magic potion, but has simply reverted to his 2010-11 form.

That was the year he put up a .921 save percentage behind a bottom feeding team (second last in the league when he got the net) coached by Ron Wilson and his last place penalty kill.

Why does Reimer playing well have to be explained away by other factors? Isn't it plausible that he is simply a good goalie who is still developing?

Ha funny, I thought Price wore 2 blockers back a couple years ago

Or a blocking glove

- Garnie

For the record, that was Dan Blackburn.

12-3-2 when leading after 1
15-2-1 leading after 2

they suck with a lead.

I can't wait for Ek to start hinting at all the fascinating things that went on behind the scenes and so much that almost happened.

Then maybe he will make up a bunch of stories about what fell through and why. He'll only be able to say so much though because what his sources all over the league, including all the GMs he is in touch with today, are telling him is off the record.

At what point is TSN just going to stop their circus already?

But, no, they've now expanded it to full day coverage of the draft and July 1, as well.
