Big deal on Leighton, they needed a backup. They still got a 3rd and Leighton makes a 3rd of the money.

Depends. Dorsett out, Moore probably to AHL for now. Brassard is really the key for now.

There absolutely was a market for ANY top 6 forward. Look at what Clowe got. I think Columbus one that trade. They gave up their checkers, which they are overloaded with and a late pick for an all star. Even if he sucks, he should sell some jerseys and fill some seats but I think he will do good.

I would have liked to see us in on pomminville. He went for a song. 2 prospects? The Oilers could have sent more. Then that would buy Nail time to move up, cover us for injuries and when nail is ready to play second line we could trade Hemsky.

Also, bishop, however I think Sens won that trade. Makes you wonder what Lou is worth since he wants to go to one of the Florida teams. A top rookie and a pick is good. What more would it take?

Clowe picked where he was going. Pomminville also submitted a list of teams. I would not want gaborik. Doesnt fill a need. We were apparently runner up on Bishop. With what Ottawa got back I think we would have had to offer up MPS plus a pick at least. That would have been a steep price.

The only deal I saw go down that I would have liked Tambo to do was Torres for a 3rd.
