Honestly I dont think CBJ got any better. Gaborik is a great player but he has no one to play with. Nsh got worse, PHX got worse, Dallas got worse, Blues got a little better but also lost their #1 goalie to injury(I think). Detroit didnt do anything and sharks probably got worse.

We arent battling with vancouver or minny for a playoff spot. Columbus i dont believe got better. They lost team chemistry in that trade. St.Louis got better but also may of lost a starting goalie.

I do think they are a better team now simply because this was just Brassard for Gaborik right now. Dorrsett is gone for the year and Moore really doesn't play.

I'd say it makes them better then they were though. As for a playoff team I don't know. Lots of movement and it doesn't always equal success right away. Look at Minny how long it took for them to start cliking.

how many years has it been now since the oilers made a decent trade at the deadline? Tambaboring dam that guy has a boring life. I agree and disagree. I was okay with a trade for the sake of a trade in terms of a UFA. Something like the Smithson one. I was okay with potentially throwing a 2nd and something for a bigger rental. With that being said, I don't really see any that would've been a fit.
