He will never skate like kovy but he is 19 lots of room to improve skating but he should be allowed to do his thing and not worry about every defensive mistake he makes it rattles alot of young offensive guys and can atun their offensive growth

Enough defensive players has not helped preserve leads late!!! There are a number of pieces that other teams could use or be packaged with to obtain a "next" level player. St. Louis seems to be grabbing all the available "next" level defenseman though.

Vanek is 6'2, 205 lbs so he has some size with the speed. aside from his -11 rookie year, he was a -1, -5 and a -6 in his other 7 seasons. .. is a career +40. .. tho that one +47 season gave him a boost, but he's mostly a + player. . AND a 30-40 goal scorer. .. what about him doesn't warrant 7mil? he doesn't disappear in the playoffs either.

I hate zajacs contract he is a great guy but i cant like him anymore if he cant bring anyrhing more then face offs and defense for that price

Bogo isnt going anywhere, pretty much the one untouchable for Winnipeg. Burmi however is always in Noels dog house, but im not sure Winnipeg would be willing to give up on him just yet, still very very young.

As a jets season ticket holder, Burmi does not look good this year cause hes stuck playing 4th line minutes, and the line mates hes got suck. Can be turn over prown but good in the corners and dipsy doodling. Good in his own zone, not very good when placed as a center sucks off face offs. But decent defensive awareness and good on the pk. Just hasnt been able to find the net.

However Kanes stats have gone down since Burmi has been demoted. He opens us the ice for other players good vision as well

Agreed but Devils usually don't give their younger players much time to impress before sending them back to Albany....I get mad because like they always say....You can teach defense but you can't teach offense ....so if the kid has talent then let him play and he can learn defense. Look it took Kovy being traded to the devils before he played any type of defense

I get the concept we preach but at some point which i feel is now we have ended up with the same type of players and prospects outside of boucher and merril and they havent been able to win lately is albany any good at all ? I mean we gotta give a few of these kids room to grow into the player they are projected to be instead of a defensive hybrid version of them which may or not make thembetter in the long run
