What are we going to do this year or next ? We won the cup in 2003 doesnt mean you cant lose you touch it took ten years to get back to the final we watxhes rafalski neidermyer parise walk for nothing because of his sheer stubborness to negotion xontracts during the season he has added the same player three times this year for cheep but still moves that didnt need to be made he ended up grossly over paying for zajac who knows what we could of got for him in a trade before his monster signing i give him credit for adsing lokti but that could of be luck that he turnes out what he has for us looks like now we are going to either over pay for xlarkson or watch him walk for free elias is getting older not one of our goalies will be able to step in when marty retires he has time do address these things but he could of today he didnt there are a list of reasons to think maybe he doesnt have it anymore he has been doing it for long enough he might be thinking about retiring therefor might be overthinking every single thing to not screw anything up for the next guy all factors

now now, i wouldn't go that far. we got Kovy for nothing. we lost Parise- at no fault of Lou. Went to the Finals last year. Acquired a lot of good players, - Parise, Zajac, Greene, Fayne, Larsson, Clarkson, Zubrus, CBGB.. we've been a good team post-lockout. The problem is, there are OTHER good teams too!

This.

Everyone calm down. I'm personally just a little disappointed he didn't get rid of a D-Man.

Im not saying he is more so that reason to think that have been growing merril and boucher seem to be doing great in the minors but neither have played a single nhl game they might not turn out we dont have to many proven young guys other then henrique and lokti and how proven do you call him the rags have a stable of young defense that play regurarly in the nhl our cupboards are just getting to half full while other teams not just bad ones have nicely stocked cupboards like ottawa is proving to be very good saavy and stocked with young talent

Me too, but something makes me feel like we've been getting hurt so often this season he feels as though it'll happen down the stretch to where we need one of those guys. The bottom 4 and the depth guys as far as I care could have gone bye-bye. But, as always, and as hard as it is to say now, In Lou We Trust.

You know there are 30 teams in the NHL, right? We were very good 10 years ago and we were a dominant team. Since then we've still been a playoff team that is trying to get younger without the draft picks needed to fill out the system. You really cannot be that upset with Lou.

Yeah I wonder if we were really in on anyone or did anyone inquire about our D.

Honestly look at what Minnesota paid for Pomminville, ridiculous. You would have thought they got Vanek for all that! I was hoping we'd just dump a defender for a late round pick, literally just to clear up some space.

They gave up a lot. Pominville is good but all that is just wow. Yeah but our only real d to trade is tallinder and I think cause he has a contract past this year it's not too attractive

Not mad at him and very greatfull for all the greatness he has brought with him and im a little harder on him this year when its a shortened season a killer draft and we are a bubble team we could probably afforded to move some assests like clarkson and a D or two for a first to shorten the time table to becoming a contender again with out really crushing us we might lose clarkson for nothing yet im just saying every one has an expiry date his might be coming up there are thingshe could of done to either improve our future i dont want us to be calgary east for three years where we think we are a matt dagostini away each year to making a real run

Not too sure but I heard somewhere they wanted to do like all the rounds in 1 day. Don't quote me on that I just remember hearing something like that.

Hm Steve Sullivan huh. He is probably a 3rd liner now. I don't like Poni. Was not a fan of this guy last year either. Possible he gets health scratched when we are healthy. Well him or Dags.

Zubrus-Loktionov-Kovy
Elias-Zajac-Clarkson
Sullivan-Henrique-Dags
CBGB

I wouldn't mind seeing Zubrus play with Elias though but I'm not sure how the other lines will work. Wouldn't mind a Kovy-Loktionov-Clarkson line though, but it won't happen since Kovy isn't going back to LW.
