He's been sent down twice, a day before he was called up the second time Torts was quoted as saying that they don't want to keep moving him back and forth and jerk him around, they didn't want to have him up here playing 10 minutes a night, well he's not, he's playing 3 minutes a night with no real reason as to why, or why Boyle and Pyatt are playing more while providing dick. - cranford93

Boyle got 17 minutes the other night, IMO, it was showcasing for the scouts in the house |

hey bud i agree that he should be on the third line over boyle and pyatt. i just wouldn't go far enough to say he's ruining him and you said it yourself, torts wants to avoid jerking him around and is trying to figure out the best way to do that.
i mean what would you do? you're the coach to a team thats 30th in the nhl in scoring and your top prospect that scored goals in the playoffs that proved he can play in the nhl nets 6 in 8 down there. i fully believe that torts called up kreider with the intent to keep him in the top 9 or top 6 even (wasn't he playing with richards and gaborik one game for a while?) but kreider just played himself out of a top 9 role. torts just doesn't trust him yet. |

No way Gaborik has Colorado as a destination he'd OK, would anyone consider Gaborik for Heatley straight up, same cap hit and length, trading the 3rd overall for 2nd overall in the 2000 draft? - cranford93
Any idea what teams he'd accept a trade to? Perhaps Winnipeg to get Byfuglien? |

He has his moments. If given the choice, I would much rather get rid of Pyatt. Boyle can kill penalties, and is good along the boards and behind the oppositions net when he's playing well. With that said, I also get the feeling that they can get back something pretty decent for Boyle, whereas I can't see that happening with Pyatt. |

he should have never called him back up, his confidence was up for all of 10 days just to have his progression slowed down, he was on a good path, I think Torts is a desperate coach trying to save his own butt first. |

I agree, Boyle wins faceoffs, he actually used his body along the boards the other night, he was real active. I just think he is more useful than Pyatt. Maybe if he doesn't get traded he is able to sigh and just play. |

I wonder whether Chicago, for instance, would give the Rangers their first for Boyle. They can use some more size upfront, and he can help them now, whereas the 29th or 30th overall pick is most likely 3 or more years away from doing anything, |

Not trying to be a douche here but you gotta be realistic. First you suggest Montreal would deal us Prust back, now you think we could get Buff for Gabby? Pass the dutchie my friend, that's gotta be some good cheebah. |

Bottom line is simple on Brian Boyle...if you don't expect him to score 20+ goals again, then you have a 3rd (or 4th) line center that works the boards, wins (defensive) faceoffs, blocks shots on or off the PK, takes the body (leads the team there), and can chip in a goal from time-to-time.
With more confidence (and/or muscle), his hits can and should be more punishing. Though, lately, they have been hevier hits.
If you accept that and not the 20+ goal scorer, then you have a solid player that's still fairly young. |

Imagine if we got Glencross today.
Glencross- Miller/Boyle- Clowe line would be nasty. |

There are three or four teams interested in Buffalo's Drew Stafford. #TRADETRACKER |

Doubt Gabby has Calgary on his list of teams to be moved to but count me as someone that would trade Gabby for Glencross and a 2nd. Get a really good tough Mofo who can score and also get Gabby's cap hit off the books. |

I'm betting on the Devils when it comes to Stafford. Just a gut feel. |

I think the Rangers are going to add their right-handed shot on defense, and call it a day. I wouldn't be opposed to adding another forward, but I think it is more likely that they'll subtract rather than add upfront. |

I think something like that will happen. I still prefer they move Pyatt for picks although that might be more difficult bc he is signed thru next season |

Honestly in the beginning of the season Pyatt actually played pretty well but man did his game fall off the face of the earth the past month. Doubt we get much in return for him. I think he is so soft. |

I don't think he is soft. He is big and he works reasonably hard, but he is slow as molassis, and if he can't play third line minutes, he ain't worth $1.5 million a year to play on the fourth line. If he kill penalties, perhaps that would make a difference.
I don't see the Rangers getting much more than a 5th or 6th round pick for him, if that.
