No way Gaborik has Colorado as a destination he'd OK, would anyone consider Gaborik for Heatley straight up, same cap hit and length, trading the 3rd overall for 2nd overall in the 2000 draft?

Jimbo has clearly lost control of this blog. He needs to be replaced, perhaps with the the Rutgers basketball coach. We need a disciplinarian around here.

Clowe's one of my all time favorite Sharks, hate to see him go. He hasn't played nearly as bad as most Sharks fans would say he has. He is one of the league's true power forwards and that is a rare thing. He is also one of the few players in our org who actually holds (held ) himself accountable. A great leader and locker room presence. Clowe brings so much more to your team than goals.
My favorite thing about Clowe is that he is tough but he is not a dirty player. He'll stand up for his team but won't take any cheap shots to do so. Yes, one time in the past eight years he took what should have been a bench minor. But at least he doesn't hit guys from behind or go for knee on knee hits or go out there trying to hurt someone. A dirty hit is much much worse than any bench minor could ever be.
My favorite Clowe moment (Clowement) and maybe even my all time favorite Sharks moment:

Haha, I went to Rutgers. I'd rather have that stuff going on than having Mr. Sandusky around.
Those guys never got jerked around, DZ was 19 and spent the entire year in Hartford, they didn't keep calling him up for minimal minutes, I understand this isn't the most optimal season for growing pains but I think Torts is a complete hypocrite and is hurting Kreider more than helping him. - cranford93
is kreider really getting jerked around? he got sent to the AHL once after the lockout ended and got called back up cuz he scored 6 goals in 8 games.
yea dude he's totally ruining him. being patient and letting him play in NCAA for 3 years, having him play during the lockout in the AHL, and calling him up after he scored 6 in 8 games when we were averaging like less than 1 goal a game is totally ruining him
torts is trying to win hockey games and when we weren't scoring and kreider netted 6 goals in 8 games, literally every (frank)in one on this forum were saying that they need to call up kreider and "who cares if he plays bottom 6 minutes because we need bottom 6 scoring depth" and "the guy is old enough and skilled enough to play through his struggles and develop in the NHL" and "i'd rather have kreider playing 8 minutes on the 4th line over pyatt".
so torts calls him up! then guess what? kreider plays himself into a 4th line role because he's still tentative, lacks confidence, and is irrelevant out there. now torts is dumb for calling him up!
now all signs point to torts sending him down again, with torts acknowledging that.
kreiders played hundreds of hockey games and getting scratched for one or 2 games or playing ~5ish minutes for a few games isn't going to ruin the kid. torts understands that kreider is not getting the minutes he needs. but once he sends him down you're just gonna demand he calls him back up.
edit: i apologize if this comes off as if i'm attacking you, because i'm not. i'm just trying to stress my point.

Good post man, hoping he turns it around here, only 30 yrs old, a change of scenery can do wonders sometimes. Good to hear he is a good lockeroom guy too, never underestimate how important these guys can be.

...and I find it odd that being in the prime of one's carreer, nobody wants him. I would rather keep Gaborik. Heaters +/- worries Torts...I assure you that.

He's been sent down twice, a day before he was called up the second time Torts was quoted as saying that they don't want to keep moving him back and forth and jerk him around, they didn't want to have him up here playing 10 minutes a night, well he's not, he's playing 3 minutes a night with no real reason as to why, or why Boyle and Pyatt are playing more while providing dick.
