Intriguing name: teams are talking to Florida about Dmitry Kulikov. He's not untouchable but I think Florida would need to get a great offer |

Rangers landed Clowe yesterday. They're not done. In the market for a defenseman. Looking at many options. #tradecentre |

Rangers making a push for O'Byrne from Colorado? He's a righty D-man, 6'5, 234 lbs. McBain does provide more offense though. |

@stevezipay: Another Ryan in NY? RT @SportsnetSpec: Still hearing that Colorado WILL move Ryan O'Byrne. Detroit, Rangers, two likely spots. |

Kid looks good. I'd take him over McBain. Gives the Rangers a big physical presence. Haven't had that in some time. |

he's been in the league for a while, I'd rather have McBain, he's a big boy too but has more mobilty and a bomb too. |

You think it would make sense to trade for Bishop? You guys have the assets to easily make that deal yet keep the program going forward, Nino and a 2nd? |

I wouldn't do it. I would like a rental backup though. I think Nabby is capable of backstopping this team. I'd actually like to see him extended another year or two, because we have a couple of decent prospects in the system.
If they were to take Streit, Okposo and a 2nd for Bishop, then I wouldn't be too upset, though. |

I always liked Kulikov and still do. He is one of a few young defensemen that I suggested trading Chris Kreider for (along with Bogosian and others), but he is a left handed shot I believe.

I don't think it would take that much to get Bishop. Afterall, he is the Sens backup. A 2nd rounder and prospect should easily do it. |

They think pretty highly of him up there. And, rightfully so, he's definitely number one material. Factor in Anderson's injury being worse than originally thought....he's gonna be worth a pretty penny, for sure. I'd rather not trade any prospects, I'm finally legitimately excited about where my team is going. |

I don't watch the Islanders tons, but I do watch them sometimes. I think that package you're offering could get you much better than Bishop. Seems like a lot for him |

I'd prefer Streit and a pick, but I don't know if the Sens would do that.
Their GM once traded us a 1st for Campoli, so, I guess anything's possible. |

I like Kulikov as well and it probably would take someone like Kreider or Miller to get him. I would rather keep them over Kulikov if possible. If there was another way to work it out without including them I would definitely be interested. |

If you want a good young player, you need to give up a good young player in most instances. It would be a hockey trade. The Rangers have a whole lot of emerging forward talent, but can use some defensive help. |

I wouldn't package Strome for Nash, how about that?
I don't want to open Pandora's Box, and being an Isles fan, I'm not the biggest authority on winning franchises, but how about you give Kreider longer than a calender year to blossom? He's going to be a perennial 30-goal scorer. And, soon.
Hate to say it, your coach doesn't instill confidence in his younger player, I'm sure you all see that. One (frank)ing mistake and they ride the pine. Keep guys like him and Miller in Connecticut. Their confidence gets shot up playing for a guy like Tortarella. |

First of all, I didn't mean to come of harsh. You should know that virtually everyone on this board are really big fans of Kreider. I am not one of those people. I am not saying that he can't be a 40-50 point scorer in the league, but I don't see superstar potential either. This is 4th year since he has been drafted. Next year will be his 5th. He is not some spring chicken anymore, and the Rangers have a wealth of good young offensive prospects in the system.
I am not suggesting that he be traded for a bag of pucks. The guys that I have suggested that he be traded for are really damn good young hockey players. That is how trades are made in the NHL. I doubt if you call up Winnipeg and say hey, I want Zach Bogosian, they are going to say, give us Brian Boyle and 6th round pick. They are going to ask for Kreider or Miller.
And Chris Kreider has himself to blame for his struggles as well. He scored 5 goals in 36 games with the Whale to start the year, when Tortorella wasn't around. The talk about Tortorella ruin him is pure huey. The coach is trying to win games, and Kreider hasn't been good enough to play consistently.
I know many disagree with me, and that is fine.
But, I will also say this, HE IS THE MOST BABIED PROSPECT EVER BY THE RANGERS FAN BASE. We have placed all of our hopes in dreams in this kid being the first homegrown offensive superstar in a long while, and I just don't see that happening.
And for JT Miller, John Tortorella has played him quite alot and in important situations. Torts is doing a really good job with him. |
