Looking at the schedule after the two games with Pitt there isn't a game the rangers can't win need to get threw these two games maybe get a couple of points then go on a streak.

The reason I said it was glencross is pretty cheap with 3 years set already. Hagelin were just not sure. We have guys like hags coming and lack guys like glencross. I think we could maybe get a 2nd rounder thrown in. I kinda like my trade

Sup boys -- made it to MSG last night for my first game of the year. Needles to say it was a good one.

Ryan (frank)ing Callahan!

Not sure if I like the Clowe move for the cost! Like picks sometimes!

I gotta hunch we will like clowe alot. I think he's itching to play for a new team. Contract year is a motivator

The more I read about the trade the more I like it. The draft picks were not going to help us the rest of the way this year and if we can recoup some of them before the draft then this could be a real good deal. He brings to the table a lot of what is needed if he scores it will just be a bonus

I dont think theyre gonna recoup them. I think they think theyve drafted so well that they can afford to sacrifice their picks this year.

Staal, Girardi, McDonagh, Del Zotto... McIlrath, Anderson and Skjei as prospects.

As far as forwards go... Callahan, Stepan, Hagelin, Nash, Clowe, Kreider, JT Miller, Richards... Fast, Lindberg, Nieves as prospects.

I dont expect to see much trading in the off-season (Pyatt and Powe might go, but they dont matter), maybe a couple free agent signings for the bottom 6.

It's so hard to judge this trade in its current state. They got a desperate need in it and thats all I think we should be concerned about now. In 3 years we may look back and say it was awful. But today, it helps them big time.

They didn't trade any of the prospects we didn't wanna see go

Granted, but I would have liked to hold onto one of those 2nd round picks and gave up one of the mid-level prospects like Thomas, Fogarty.

I wonder what trades the Rags make tomorrow..a few guys are definitely going to be traded.

I could see Pyatt traded for a used stick bag.

I really think we need to look for a top 4 Dman just for insurance in case staal isn't back. It would also give us the opportunity to waive the giant pylon Roman Hamerlik.

Due to the high prices on guys right now, I think the Rangers will get a couple of picks back on guys like Boyle, Asham or Pyatt if they so choose. I can't believe I'm saying this considering how terrible he's been but if I trade one from that group I mentioned it would be Pyatt over Boyle considering Boyle at least takes faceoffs. I think it's possible both could go for picks though and they keep Asham.

the deal looks like an overpayment at first but we won't know until the offseason.

a team struggling to score goals acquiring a player with 0 goals on the season to help the offense seems like an easy move to make fun of by fans of other teams but it wasn't just about the goal scoring (which could come with a change of scenery). it was also about grit. a lot of the sharks players tweeted saying how upset they are about clowe leaving and that he was a great character guy, a heart-and-soul player, and a good lockerroom guy.

he also plays pretty well in the playoffs with 45 points in 68 games.

if it is an overpayment, it can't be too big of one.
