2 high round picks for a guy that can walk at the end of the season when the Rangers may not even make the playoffs? Risky indeed. I was glad the Wild passed. |

Kreider & Miller assigned to the Whale - jimbro83
i read it could just be a paper transaction so they are eligible to play in the AHL playoffs but everyone else is saying they're sent down.
Nash - Stepan - Cally
Clowe - Richards - Gaborik
Hagelin - Boyle - MZA
Powe - ? - Asham
Pyatt
i feel like miller's gotta be the 3rd line center. |

that's possible, they actually don't have a game in Connecticut until friday, so if a trade opened up a spot I am sure one of them would just be called back up to play tonight |

Making a move to improve your team for a playoff push is better than doing nothing and watching the same two steps forward, one step back tune the Rangers have played this year. Clearly, they feel Clowe will add something they desperately need to get consistent play along the boards from all offensive units.
It's not as if the Rangers have mortgaged the future here. Nothing that was given up can't be recouped. They have assets that can be moved... Maybe not right away, but in the short term. |

One thing I really appreciate with Clowe is that it sounds like he really wants to be here. He chose to come here rather than go to Vancouver. Maybe a change of scenery will help him get the offense rolling. I see the upside and the risk with this move but let's hope we only see the upside on the ice. |

Miller and Kreider both sent down, what a joke. Guess Boyle isn't going anywhere. Might as well extend his contract after is up for about 2.5 m per year and have him start centering the first line....disgusted. |

At least they'll get ice time.
10 mins a game under a coach who doesnt have the confidence in them is a waste. |

the Whale have games friday-sat and sunday this weekend.
Let them go down there and roll, they can be recalled anytime, including today if there is a trade |

Ok....2.75 per year. I think Miller gives the lineup a lot more, and when your struggling to make the post season, you need more in the lineup, that's all I'm saying. |

Harrison Mooney @HarrisonMooney 4m
Since Hannan and Murray are effectively the same player these days, Wilson really just turned a 6th round pick into two 2nds.
Rangers make that move for Murray and get killed, Pittsburgh does it and it's genius |

JT Miller has only played less than 10 minutes a night only three times since he has been with the Rangers. He's actually gotten quite a bit of ice, and I think the coach has shown a good deal of confidence in him considering how young he is. I don't think we can really blame Torts at all for anything that he has done with JT Miller.
Not saying you were blaming the coach. |

Well there is something to be said for players getting a change of scenery. Who knows, maybe he get's back on track in NY.
Biggest problem I had with him was he's looking for a 5 year $25 million dollar contract extension... |
