Nope. The Oil got their first pick (Hall) due to a record injury-plagued season which triggered the rebuild and selling off of assets for picks. Until then the Oil were just sucking like the Flames have been for the last few years, trying but failing to make the playoffs.

Only difference is that you guys didn't have a slew of injuries kill your team this year to trigger the rebuild, your team fell apart cause Kipper can't coverup how bad the Lames are anymore.

That has just got to be the stupidest thing ever! Are you not excited about the run your team is currently on, battling to get to the playoffs for the 1st time in, what, 7 years? Losing breeds losing, winning breeds winning. But, go ahead, cheer for losses. It explains a lot about the Oiler fan base and the organization as a whole.
