From Feasters statement, he said he had lots of interest & offers but the salary of $6.68mill put teams on JBO's list out of the running. Wellll..... why wouldnt you carry some salary & rectify that? I have no faith in Feaster but even that is way too obvious. I smell Edwards hand in this. The return was OK for a salary dump. I realize he was 2.0 mill overpaid but wow, he was still a top 2 pairing dman in this league. Look at the Regehr trade, obvious again we dumped 7.0mill salary with Kotalik & RR. King & Feaster spun as a Cap move more than a hockey trade. I accepted that then but not now. Either Edwards wants to pocket $15-20mill while still increasing my season tickets while operating at the cap floor or Feaster really did make this call. If he did, he should be fired immediately & get Burke in here, at least Burke has respect from other GM's & knows how to do this kind of horse trading. I dont see any UFA's worth over paying for, so whats the point of having all this cap space. Expect the great dump to continue, Kipper & Cammi are next. expect their returns to be ...well.... underwhelming again. After that, if we move any other players, they damn well better be good trades. |

you need a hug?

Either way....if the Flames don't get (frank)ed, it'll be one of the 2, probably which ever one doesn't get picked in the 1 or 2 slot. - The-O-G
Mc is sliding. I believe the last rankings had him at #4 behind Nichushkin and Drouin. Barkov was at 6. There are always good players that slip come draft day. If we can trade up, maybe we get a couple really good picks. Forsberg went 11th last year. |

Keeping him down their is just as good for him. Some people take longer to develope. Look at Kadri he is now starting to show his potential and he was in the ahl for almost 3 years. - LEAFSfan28191
Thank you it's about time someone realises that some players need time in the minors to develop skills. You can't rush kids in a mans game |

it is too early to judge Jankowski, fair to be critical, but by no means is this a good or bad pick... yet - cmpdave
Fair comment, but keep in mind I'm delightfully critical of Feaster, not Jankowski |

Yup, Jankowski at #25. Vasilevski, who would have been available had Calgary not traded down, figures to be #10.
Good try though. - BigDre
What's your point? How can you say whether this guy will be good or not? Look at PRV, until this year he has been nothing but crap... |

I also wondered why he wouldn't take on say $2 mil in cap space to get a better return. You guys have tons of cap space... maybe STL had nothing to give? |

It must be so easy to troll draft picks when you pick 1st overall 3 years in a row. How have your 2nd and later round picks done? What, none are in the NHL already, your scouts must suck!!!!!

You should go back and read the whole exchange. That will help you understand the point.
and PRV scored like 15 goals in his rookie season, so not sure what you're talking about |

Again, I troll your GM for his picks, I don't know a damn thing about Jankowski except that no one ever heard of him and Fatass went way off the board to grab him when other prospects were clearly BPA ahead of him.
