So Foster on waivers.... Interesting must mean Grossmann is ready to go.

When another Dman goes down Wednesday night, I guess it will be Syvret time.

I really like what Nieuwendyk is doing, he's pulling off some solid win-win deals so far.

Ryder for Cole is a win for the Canadiens so far.

He's still got a lot of ground to make up before he atones for the Neal/Niskanen for Goligoski deal (and selling low on Ribiero and dealing Ott away).

Having a 6'10" 255 pound dude punch you in the junk has got to smart.

Still a good trade for Dallas. They didn't have E. Malkin to pair him up with.

Just a better trade for Pittsburgh.

Niskanen has been nearly as good as Goligoski has. I guess Neal was a throw in.

Dallas gave up a decent two way top 4 d-man, and a first line winger for a top 4 PP QB

Or we might be looking at grabbing a D-man at the deadline. Mark Streit is apparently not resigning over length of contract which I'm sure Homer would give him. And his going price would be a lot less than Yandle. Probably a 2nd rounder and some not essential prospects.

I would sign him for 3 years. I think he would help.

But will the NYI want to trade with us? Doubtful.

Neal already had 3 20-goal seasons under his belt at the time of the deal.

Golisgoski's been up and down, a healthy scratch at times.

That deal set them way back in the same way the Erik Johnson trade set the Avs back. Both those clubs would be in PO position today if they had stuck with what they had.

They have Lauridsen and Huskins around, but why not Danny Syvret at this point..

Kurtis Foster will not be missed.

Even though nothing was given up for Huskins, should have just waited for waivers. Guys like Montador and Barker were waived today. Rather have either one of those guys.

Agreed. But if he goes UFA this summer, you can bet Homer will be there contract in hand. Thus far he looks like the best potential Offensive Defenseman FA out there.
