Thanks man, I really appreciate it. My source is a good buddy, who writes for several hockey websites and actually has NHL credentials. For the sake of not being a name dropper and blowing up his spot, I will reserve revealing his identity but he is fairly dialed in with the legitimate NHL media.

Thats pretty cool inside guy to get a scoop for you.

Agreed Stahlman, shipping out Pyatt and/or Boyle while adding Glencross makes this team a lot more versatile. Glencross is an extremely underrated hockey player.

You can call me Brian too, its easier & I hate my last name.

You're a gem, Marauder. Bunch of old school blog brothers around here, who piss each other off at times and enjoy each others company at others. You are still a marshmallow though.
- Pete V

Marshmallows!

I have been here since 2007, didn't come around for awhile, but I couldn't stay away forever. A lot of you dudes are awesome to talk hockey with. You, Jimmy, Stahlman and a few others are tremendous. No better place to talk Rangers hockey.

Now, go get your shine box!

What do you think, Jim, McIlrath for Glencross? Is that what its going to be?
- Pete V

Glencross would be leading the Rangers in goals if he was here. And he is a dooosh. Fantastic contract

I'd do it

Just say no to Clowe!

Yea, he has told me about deals before they are officially announced. He isn't always correct but who is, besides McKenzie, Dreger and Ek?

Haha

It's looking like Thomas and a 2nd. Rangers still have hope for McIlrath and feel Thomas is expendable, especially with Fast and Lindberg rising within the ranks.

Even better if they can do that. I find it interesting that the Rangers have been building up organizational defensive depth the last week, however. Almost as if they are preparing to move a young defender.

I thought maybe Skjei would end up going to CGY since he has ties to that organization.

Hah i agree on clowe. Dont want him no way no how. Glencross is interesting though, 30 years old 14 goals 8 assists, plays with jam.. Id have to see the price tag.

McIlrath is the only one that can smash skulls though, hence the reservation in quitting on him. Despite it all he is still just 21 years old. I agree he needs to make the jump soon but I would rather part with another smallish forward in the system than a moose, if fully develops, could rectify the lack of toughness and physicality the blue line currently has.

Crease clearers are rare. Just look at what Orpik has done to the Rangers. But Pete keeps making the point that they've added young depth in the system. Maybe not McIlrath but someone else?

Pete's points are valid, as they often always are. The Rangers signed two defenseman last week and are likely going to use other assets to deal for current lineup help.

But McIlrath is intriguing, mainly because he kills people when he hits them. His biggest issue is health, he needs to develop in Connecticut but the only way he does that is if he stays healthy.

Hope so, need that sandpaper (jam, there you go TJ) ELEMENT PLAYER FOR THE PLAYOFFS (assuming we get there), just don't have enough grit. As others have said, any combo if not all of Pyatt, Boyle & Asham should be gone, for anything.

Jam jam here come da man..

Glencross is most definitely the guy I want

I agree. That's what it looks like when all these kids have been added to the organization.

They also added Niccols earlier this year, a forward playing in the WHL. Sather has been active in stocking up assets because he knows who the untouchables are and the team needs the flexibility to deal without gutting the true core of the future.

Maybe Feaster is dumb enough to give us Glencross and one of his three 1st round picks for Gaborik.
