He's available to the Rangers as long as they need him. If he wasn't available to play he would have needed to go straight to the AHL.

Honestly I love Hagelin but with guys like Lindberg and Fasth coming up do you think maybe we can use him as a piece to get something more valuable? It sucks but I think I would be willing to move him. Hagelin, Gabby, and this years 2nd for Couture and Clowe? Have Couture and Stepan down the middle for years to come looks mighty nice. San Jose has Marleau, Pavelski, and Thornton that can all play center. Just throwing it out there.
