Me personally, I love this move. Clowe is obviously having a down season but this is a tough mofo and will help this team in so many ways. I think we are going to love this guy here. I was one of the first people on here wanting Glencross badly but just want to say the guy never topped 50 points in his career. I think that we really just got a steal here. This guy is still very young and before this season put up 45, 67, 57, 52 and close to 100 points every season.

He at the very least gives the team a physical presence that is sorely needed. At least we know if someone takes a run at McD like Pacioretty did there will be action taken.

definitely, Boyle and or Pyatt probably on their way out for a pick or two in return by tomorrow I would say.

Let me just say that this team better make the playoffs after this deal.

Because a team that misses the playoffs that doesn't own it's own first two draft picks is no bueno.

Didn't the Rangers trade like 3 2nd rounders for Erixon? 2nd rounder are overrated anyway haha

But really, don't mind this trade at all. The team will be better and is not done IMO. Should be an interesting 20 hours

I think i would have felt better about this if boyle or pyatt went the other way. Like i said before, we have a lot of dead weight in the bottom six.

When I saw the Glencross rumors I immediately thought of you...damn Adam called it

hahaha (frank)ing right. I looked at Glencross and instantly thought of him as a great addition for this team. Let's see if it happens.

Definitely, Clowe is a big dude that brings energy and will hit and fight if need be. I still think he is gonna put the puck in the net. Bad year thus far, yes, I don't think he is as bad as that number makes him look though.

Second rounders are overrated. Very few if them make it. Plus they are going to re-sign Clowe and get a first for Gaborik this summer anyway.

One season does not a player make people. So, he doesn't have any goals this year. He has averaged 20.5 goals and 54 points per over the last four seasons. The guy can get it done. Trust me. If all these guys bust out of their slumps all at once this could be a very dangerous team. There's a reason why so many teams were interested in this player. From what I remember he can fight pretty well too. I think we'll like him.

This People are overreacting about losing draft picks. I don't think a high percentage of those picks ever pan out. rangers just added toughness and depth scoring without losing a roster player or a good prospect. Clowe is having an off year, i don't think he has lost his skill. Plus, he is the type of player that is at best during playoff hockey. He has been one of the few sharks that has solid numbers in the postseason. Rangers are a better team after this trade.

Just got home and saw the trade

1. Great another guy who can't score
2. No picks in the 1st 2 rounds of the draft
3. We could have done better.

1 2nd rounder for sure, if he resigns or we make it to the ECF then a 5th turns into a 2014 2nd rounder, I want no part of resigning him unless we get rid of Boyle

He will drop the gloves during his first shift tomorrow then score the game winning goal that snaps Pitts winning streak (assuming they win tonight). We will fall in love with him.

His career stats show he can score. Plus his play on the ice will open up room for others. This team needed grit. They got it. I think you see much more emotion on the ice.

I hope your right, this move to me indicates another is coming, like getting more for Boyle than he's worth if any of the rumors from Brooksie are correct

Cmon man. Look at our roster last two years and how it was built!

Stepan is a 2nd rounder
Dubi was a 2nd Rounder
Arti was a 2nd Rounder
We sent two seconds for Erixon
(Aka Rick Nash was had for essentially all 2nd round picks we have made)
You guys like Lindberg right? He was drafted in the Second Round. And we got him by trading a second round pick in Ethan Werek.

Now tell me again how Second rounders aren't important? Oh and this ignores deeper picks in Hags, Fasth, Cally, and Hank but those were crap shoot picks in all honesty and are exceptions to the rule. The above? It shows we do well in the second round. This trade is a (frank)ing joke. It isnt even a 2nd and conditional 3rd. It's a 2 3 and maybe ANOTHER 2. Its a (frank)ing joke.

EDIT: Sorry I forgot Sauer too.

That whole team is fair game. Set a physical tone, although we need to be careful. He is one player, I don't know that the team now becomes the "Black and Blueshirts" again right away. I think you might see Haley or Newbury back up and both Kreider and Miller back to the farm depending on if Pyatt or Boyle is dealt.
