Jagr to Boston - doon
I hope he helps them dismantle the Pens.... |
|
|
|
If the Oilers braintrust are unwilling to move Hemsky maybe they bring Jagr in so those two can finally play together in the NHL. Jagr would for sure teach the kids work ethic and maybe he even resigns on a one year deal? Plus it would be hilarious to see the Bruins get screwed for a second time |

Hemsky is hurt they won't be moving him now. Unless some team becomes real desperate in the next 24 hours. |

i liked the line of PRV/Gagner/yak
I would like to get Clarkson or Clowe. Only if they agree to resign.
Ott is a 3rd sometimes 2nd line player. He would be a nice fit with Horc and jones - Killbot460
The thing is that he is under valued in Buffalo. Ott is the third highest hitter in the league, he can chip in for points and he is good at face offs. He might be the second best center but he gives us that depth and that option since ganger is use to playing winger. He can be used for key PP face offs or PKs.
I didn't mind PVR, Gagner and Yak but they were 3 talented players playing together, I wouldn't say they had "chemistry." Not in the sense that our top line does. Not chemistry in the way that they know where to look for each other and the style of each others play yet. They could get their fast enough but that leaves Hemsky (maybe the currently most talented of the 3) on the 3rd line. Hemsky and Gagner showed better "chemistry" IMO at the start of the year. They were a two man line.
I do like the play of all 3 though. I don't think Clowe or Clarkson are better than what we have. I can't believe Roy went for a second round pick and a terrible prospect and we didn't beat that offer. We have 2 second round picks and they will both be better than Vans and can offer up Colten who would be a better prospect of Peckham who is ready to play now. Roy would have gave us tons of options for a run. Especially if Hemsky got injured again. |

Jagr has said on several occasions that he has wanted to play in Edmonton. I don't know if that will play into anything as Tambellini still doesn't seem interested in winning but we got a player that wants to be on the team. |

Hemsky hurt? - theireland
Kreuger said after the game he is playing through a nagging injury. Him not playing in the 3rd yesterday and then this comment probably scares teams off.
I don't know that I'd move him anyway. Not now anyway. What could is a 2nd going to do us? |

Hi Richard,
Great blog as always. Just one question: What do you think of Ben Bishop between the pipes for the mighty Oil? I too am satisfied with Duby, but satisfied doesn't cut it. Bulin is not going to be around much longer so it would be nice to see an improvment here.
1. Bishop for ???
2. Bernier for ??? (I know, I came back to this one too).
Just throwing it out there. |

Because Tamb didn't sign anyone that didn't call him and ask to play on the team. If we had a better GM we might have had him instead of Hodichuk. |
