What are we trying to do? Win the cup? If this roster manages to get us to the playoffs, it'll be fine for the 4-6 bonus games we get to play...

Win the cup for the next 5 years.

Oranges rhymes with gullible if you say it really slow.

Hahahahahaha! Where was this yesterday?

It's tough to say with the guys winning... and playing the easiest team in hockey last night too.

I still think we need to add a guy or two to the roster.

Think 05-06 Cup run!

From day one I wanted to be in the playoff hunt as of tomorrow. We are, so anything else is bonus. The only thing that can really piss me off is we deal a bunch of roster players for picks.

You need to stand tall when someone fires a bullet at you instead of ducking. You fire more crap against the wall hoping for something to stick. When you shift gears as quickly as you do your going to get negative feedback. And on the other hand people visiting this site should view it as entertainment purposes only.Eklund and bloggers know no more than above average hockey fan.Keep it real.

Lets deal that first round pick. The 4th line played great last night... but then again it was against a very weak flames squad.

Some extra talent couldn't hurt that much now could it?

I wouldn't deal the first. Not unless it's a guy under contract for next year.

I would however look at those 2 2nd's we have.

I agree. Like Clouts said, only trade Hemsky if we are getting a Lucic or Stewart in return. We dont need anymore damn draft picks! I can understand somewhat if we trade a few depth guys like Jones but Id honestly rather keep him. Heart and soul player. We need more of that.

I love comments like these because they are so delightfully delusional and completely fabricated in an attempt to goat Oilers fans and myself into a brawl.

the thing is... your former blogs are stored... so you can't deny you've said similer things in the past.

Loving watching Oiler games right now. PRV has played really well in the last 15 games or so, but I would still like to see the Yak-Gags-Hemmer line reunited. I just can't stand watching Yakupov get 3rd line minuites, although I will qualify that by also saying that playing on the 3rd line has really helped his defensive game. I would like to see the Oil go after a Dman. Kulikov or Yandle would fit the bill, even at the steep price they would command. It would certainly take a big return to land one of these guys but the Oilers have the assets to get a deal done even if it affects the core. I am thinking Kulikov, Huberdeau, and Gudbranson for Lander. I know this is a huge overpayment by the Oilers and will likely be a huge blow to the team as a whole but they will need to give up elite talent to bring in some elite talent. Backup plan would be Lander for Eckman Larsson, Yandle, and 3 firsts. I'd offer up Nuge, Hall, and Eberle but I highly doubt any team would do a deal that didn't invlove Lander.

I wonder what it would cost to get jagr. We could really REALLY use that vet presence down the stretch. However what deal did he sign was it one or two years?

I'd love to get him, but think it will cost too much. I'm not a fan of giving a 1st+ for him.

Lightning trade Marc-Andre Bergeron for Adam Hall (a guy they waived a month ago) and a 7th.

Dreger reports things exactly as Eklund said last night: Detroit in on Bouwmeester, but unwilling to pay the high price of a 1st.

I guess TB clears a roster space (hmm) and trades Bergeron for a 7th.

How long before some fans start talking about their draft position and how they can turn it around in the right situation because they have to be amazing to be drafted so high?
