Brad Isbister? Dustin Penner?? Both big but lacked 'power' and were run out of town...

I would totally take Penner back for cheap instead of mortgaging the farm for the overrated Lucic's and Clowe's... No (frank)ing way would I trade Yaks for Lucic...

I should've mentioned Power forwards/physical players that can play.

Especially when, for some goddamn reason, a few people STILL (frank)ing bring up Linus Omark. It took years for the Schrempies to finally shut up.

I wonder if he gets dealt tomorrow.

Detroit for a conditional 4th based on playing in X number of games.

Detroit is interesting as they are apparently looking for help in the top 6.

I never saw this article in which Omark is favourably compared to Scottie Upshall, Tyler Kennedy, Mason Raymond, Chris Higgins, Pascal Dupuis, Wayne Simmonds, Ryan O`Reilly, and Artem Anisimov as if each and every one of those guys wasn't miles better at literally every facet of the game except stick handling

They tried to move Omark and no one wanted him, not sure what the team is suppose to do.

(frank) the page finally loaded, what the (frank) is Zona smoking? I've said it numerous times, if Omark isn't going to play two-way hockey or play with more grit he needs to put up 50 points to stay in the NHL. He might find a couple teams that will give him chances, but he won't last long. One-dimensonal small players need to produce plain and simple.

A made up stat used to compare stats from other leagues to what the player should do in the NHL. The great thing is no one ever goes back to see if these things are (frank)ing accurate or not.

Calgary is (frank)ed. Unless Bouwmeester was just that bad and taking the whole team down with him.

There is an interesting theory out there that Calgary is clearing salary so they can poach big contracts and picks to teams that are going to struggle with next years cap.

Truthfully feaster moves are so questionable that one can only hope that this is how the flames are going to be close to icing an NHL roster next year

So who are they going to get that is better then Iginla and Bouwmeester? I mean sure they could get Campbell, but who out there that is overpaid replaces Iginla?

In theory it's nice to be able to potentially do that with one guy like getting Campbell over Bouwmeester, but you do that with 2 or more guys you probably just end up with a worse team.

I first heard the concept from Elliot freedman, then I thought back to the iginla trade interveiw with feaster talking about an aggressive retool(avoided the words rebuild). Also speculation from pens fans that perhaps the more to the iggy deal may come in cap reilef as the pens have a series of players to resign next year and want to resign iggy

Point is I have trouble thinking the flames organization can truly be as stupid as they look, maybe feaster has something up his sleave

Edit: sorry mi or correction the pens have a seiers of players that become eligible to negotiate next contract next season

Well they are.

Just make a list of bad contracts and try figure out how many actually are a better fit then Iggy. Like I said you want to do one fine, but you can't replace all your best players with bad contract players.

They were a 14th placed team with iggy and jbo, and I don't think the goal is to become a better team than they are, the goal is to maybe pick up 4 or 5 legit NHL players who have bad contracts or come from teams with serious roster depth(requiring a correction do to salary) with draft picks like the new jersey devils did last time with Malakov I think

They could then come close to icing an NHL calibre team.

If you remove kipper and another roster players from the flames before the dealine they will have trouble competing with ahl teams

Keep in mind teams can use their amnesty buyouts unlike the Malakov one. I just don't see them cleaning up too much trying that theory. Also have to keep in mind that there are teams that always look for salary to get to the cap floor.

It will be good if they actually dress legit NHLers though, at least they won't have to rush prospects.

I just took a quick look over the roster. I don't know if they have a legit first line forward?

Gaborik has one more year left on his deal. The rangers do have the money for a buyout. Idk is a third round worth more than the buy out dollars?
