I suppose. I'm not in the guy's corner. There just isn't a lot to talk about from an Oilers perspective...

Yet that's what fans want. Complain that Tambo doesn't sign anyone yet they don't realize that most UFA contracts are horrid.

I'm actually okay with a bit of an overpay on defense. An overpay for an overkill top 6 PWF because people aren't patient enough to let our stud kids mature for one effing season will make me mad.

Way to much Dinero for those players.
- AlEx_OiL

Sure, but that's the name of the game come july 1st or whatever day it is now.

I can agree with this. But it needs to be smart overpay, something that still allows us flexibilty.

With that being said overpaying a PWF isn't a bad thing, just the 3 guys that are available all have major question marks associated with them.

Doesn't your microwave have a timer that shuts it off when the time is done?

I honestly think we need the "Power" part of power forward a lot more than we need the "Forward". The right fit moreso than the consensus top guy.

Surprisingly few, which made me happy. Essentially a depth deal so it got the amount of coverage it deserved.

I thought it looked bad. Honestly I tried google searching for any evidence that Kale Kessy had ever scored a nice goal and I couldn't find it

I'll definitely "suffer" through a Horton, Clowe or Clarkson signing. So long as the fans who say all we need is a replacement for Dubnyk stay the eff away from Tambs' ear.

My opinion is you can never have too many power forwards or physical forwards.

As long as they have skill and a reasonable level of speed, sure.

Sure, as a backup, but not for the price Sens fans seem to think he's worth.

Yeah, trying to think of a counter-example, but I can't say I can think of one that both sucks AND sucks because they don't score enough.

Kid sounds like what we need. I could care less about nice goals. That's what Eberle and Yak are for. Guy has 7 points in 6 playoff games this year, has to be doing something right.

Read a few reports on him, really like him. I didn't really think Reider was ever going to be much though and was kinda glad we dealt him so next year I don't have to hear why isn't he in the NHL.

Especially when, for some goddamn reason, a few people STILL (frank)ing bring up Linus Omark. It took years for the Schrempies to finally shut up.

Brad Isbister? Dustin Penner?? Both big but lacked 'power' and were run out of town...

I would totally take Penner back for cheap instead of mortgaging the farm for the overrated Lucic's and Clowe's... No (frank)ing way would I trade Yaks for Lucic...
