How do you go to your locker room tomorrow night and tell the kids that while you said you were done moving players for picks that this was a move they had to make? Hall is playing 100% out there for the team to go and add a pick(at best 2nd) who more then likely takes 4-5 years to make an impact it would be a slap in the face. - Lahey
This. The picks and prospects phase is over. Whitney is far more valuable to this team than many might believe. Moving him would essentially kill the playoff drive. More value to keeping him for that than moving him for what would not be a great return. |

With Bos getting Jagr, is Horton more available? What about Whitney for a player like Horton? I have no idea if that's a straight across trade but I'd be in favor of something along those lines - theireland
Boston is gearing up for a cup run. I highly doubt they move out anyone in the top 9. They will likely keep Horton and then get a pick for his negotiating rights this summer. |

yikes way to much IMO - AlEx_OiL
Remove Jones then. I'd throw in a Belanger or Eager but that would kill any deal.... |

Nystrom would have been an interesting pick up at the deadline for cheap. |

I miss the days when teams made trades to make one another better. This whole buyer and seller thing is boring as it gets.

If they have room to make the Jagr deal they aren't moving Horton unless it's for an equal value player. |

Rather try and make a play for Horton in the summer. |

Eklund has the Sens, Devils and Rangers talking to him. Trade for a conditional pick.
Vern would be an upgrade on Belanger. |

It'll be interesting. If Clowe gets dealt and signs as has been kinda rumored, we'll know more.
But Horton, Clarkson and Clowe are all looking at 5x5 deals in my opinion. Not one of them is worth it, but they'll all get them. |

That's what I thought. It could be that no one is talking about him. But a couple of times Eklund actually identifies the player but gets the destination completely wrong. |

I will be furious if Tambs sits on his hands for this long only to give one of those Richardbags 5x5.

Yet that's what fans want. Complain that Tambo doesn't sign anyone yet they don't realize that most UFA contracts are horrid. |
