LA already has no first rounder this year. They weren't going to give up their 2nd as well. Couple that with the fact that Regehr had a full no-trade clause and could basically decide where he wanted to go, this falls under the category of "there are many things you can criticize Darcy Regier for, but this isn't one of them".

The moves are definitely 100% the right thing to do. But it speaks a lot to Darcy's ineffectiveness that he needs a pat on the back for making rudimentary moves.

I am liking that Buffalo is making moves for the future. I hope they continue doing so.

What would we think about Pommer for Clowe straight up?

What if buffalo was to trade miller for some offense and defense, and then take a couple of the picks they have to get Ben bishop.

He is apperently on the market or would that not be enough to get him.

It would solve alot with him and enroth taking the season half and half

So the moves that we all knew would happen did. The return is what was expected. Maybe a little more than expected in the Leopold trade. Now Darcy needs to grow a pair and make the moves we all want.

your post is hard to read.....

you need to use periods, maybe some commas.

then people will understand.

thank you

EDIT: but to answer your question. Miller wont be gone until Draft day IMO

they may move them at the draft to move up or get a player from another team

bottom line is the team is not going to make the playoffs and there was no reason to resign him

I am ok with the picks

100% agree even 2 3rds for someone who will walk away in a month is great in my book

I'm not patting him on the back so much as the fact that I am just stating I fail to see what is bothersome about the deal. Saying that Darcy Regier is a bad GM for making a move like this is like saying Sean Avery is a jackass because he shaves his head. The conclusion is true, but the premise has nothing to do with it.

Staff - 70%
Pommer - 50%
Miller - 5%
Vanek - 1%
Hecht - i find it hard pressed that anyone would give us anything for him so I cant even really say but ?50%?
Ott - 10%

I don't see why so many people were female doging about the Reghyr trade. It was trade him for something or lose him for nothing and last I checked something is usually better than nothing.

There is only so much you can get in a trade involving a player with a NTC that can basically control how the trade goes.

Actually I think most people are happy about the trade including me. I would like the picks to be 2013, 2014 but what can you do.

So shouldn't Darcy be taking note from this Clowe situation. Clowe could have gotten a great return last year at the deadline and now the Sharks are not necessarily stuck but I'm sure won't get the return they want for him. Why put yourself through that next year with Pominville?
