Thats the problem, if the Blues miss the playoffs the 1st is deferred to 2014.

With no restrictions as to the pick position next yr
Kip looks like he is purposely sucking to keep from getting traded. He is completely lost right now, though it is understood I guess.
Sucks for him.

At the rate things are going, we should praise The Lord, hallelujah! I don't think Feaster thinks we have enough magic beans yet.

Hey! Remember what was discussed in Collin's last thread? Perhaps now you may entertain the notion that you are the un-educated. Idiot...

Great work by Feaster. Queue the ppl calling him fat and dumb.

I am quite impressed with both trades he has made. This is definitely making a quicker rebuild possible.
And good for JBO.

If you are being serious about being impressed, please explain why and what is to be impressed by. Thanks.

I did on a prior post, but ok:
Iginla's value was diminished. He then pulled one on the team, and only had 1 team he would really go to. To get a 1st, and two prospects is good...esp since he is a rental.

JBO has been playing like a $4mm dman until this season. He is also fairly soft, though still a solid player. He is finally earning his dough, but I would have been fine if they bought him out before the season started...and am not the only one. Having said that, getting another 1st is great. The two prospects...meh, maybe one will pan out. Much better than he would have got before the season, and ppl were laughing at the other thread this morning saying he WOULDNT get a 1st. Now that he has, it is en vogue to pan any trade made by Feaster ever.

And- a clear sign they are moving on, which I am very happy about.

I think "feaster's failure is complete" has a better ring to it, and is more accurate.

Feaster has been a collosal failure. Sure he's gotten 2 more first rounders, but any friggin monkey could have done that. The 4 prospects he has gottn back are all poop. One may end up playing a handful of NHL games.

I'm not sure what the Blues plan is though. They were already going to be tight on the cap next year once they sign all their RFA's. I dont see JBo taking that big of a cut that they can fit him without moving someone else. I guess they are putting their cards on making a run.

You've gotta think though...this years draft is expected to be really solid, teams may place more value on their first rounders. The Flames now have three. They could even look into moving two for a higher pick. Not a bad year to decide to load up on picks/prospects.

HOWEVER

Given that they are not taking back any NHL ready players/prospects...its going to be a couple of years of pain for Flames fans.
