Jensen Schroeder Kesler... If necessary, Kesler takes defensive zone faceoffs. This line has significantly higher offensive potential than any line we've seen Schroder on since we drafted him. I think he'd rack up assists & solidify himself as our 2nd line center of the present & future.
Anyone know what kind of linemates/role Jensen's being given? - DrChristianTroy
Playing with the twins from what I've read. |

Can't complain about Jensen getting an opportunity to succeed... BUT
Hate the 2nd line.
3rd line is a complete waste of Schroeder.
4th line belongs in Peoria/Chicago/Abbotsford. |

Pool playoffs usually have to start before the NHL reg season ends because some players' teams won't actually make the NHL playoffs and won't be playing. |

@NHLSourcesSay: #Canucks Jensen playing on top line with the Sedins tonight, he is being showcased. May be involved in a deal that will bring in a centre. |

Lecavalier + Garon for Luongo + Ballard
thoughts? - Big_Lightnin
No. Lecavalier's injured right now, and the Lightning don't have anyone to replace him with. Vancouver probably doesn't want to be saddled with his contract. Luongo would certainly be an upgrade in net for us, but goaltending hasn't been the biggest problem for our group this season. Let Lindback get healthy and we'll go from there. Trading Lecavalier for Luongo may solve one small problem, but it opens up a new big one.

Fuccckkk... So we trade a legit future star center to bring in Kassian.
... then trade a legit future star winger to replace the future star center we lost.
If true, the return better be un(frank)ingbelievable. |

My best source of information on the internet regarding the Canucks has stated this:
Just talked to a friend. Luongo's agent has had some discussions with MG but as of yet Luongo has not been asked to waive. My sense is that MG has unofficially asked if the teams he is in discussion with are ones Luongo would consider waiving to go to. Told his agent that offers are not quit where they need to be but that a few teams are preparing final offers. Haven't heard who the teams are but have heard that Luongo feels a deal over the next few days maybe more likely than it was a month ago but he still has not been asked to waive. He is fine with staying here until the season is over.
MG has also been told by more than one team that they can't do a trade until after the season is ended when they can exercise buy outs, unless MG wants term back now, which he does not.
In other words, nothing new to report on the Luongo front.

Hockey Widow generally nails the rumors. Don't know who she is, but she seems to know a few people on the inside. I would classify her as "reliable and generally accurate" |
