Do Sabres fans think there is any chance the team would deal within the division, in particular to Boston? I ask because I think Drew Stafford would be an ideal fit for Boston. He's had a tough year but he has a track record for scoring goals and wouldn't be asked to do too much for the Bruins. He would be an ideal addition to the third line.
But I am skeptical the Sabres would deal to Boston. Thoughts? - TheGreatNumber8
You're willing to spend 4 million on a 3rd line player? Mind you, I'd hazard a guess and say Stafford has a 2nd line ceiling, and that potential isn't far off either... Still a lot of money to invest over the rest of this and the next 2 seasons. |

PK Subban is over rated and is nothin more then hype. - mike13wilkins
He was talking about PK's younger brother I believe that is a goaltender in the Bruins organization. |

This is a highest bidder situation and not rocket science. If that's the highest bid, you take it. |

how do you figure? Don´t forget we gave up Butler and Byron and got a second back with Regher. |

Didn't realize he was signed for 2 more seasons at 4 million per. Yea, can't really see him being a great value then. That said, I would still be in favor of the Bruins getting him if the price was cheap. He has 25-30 goal potential and is a big body. At 4 million he would basically replace nathan horton next season. |

Don't forget Kotalik, I think that's why we got the 2nd because of the salary dump. |

I wish Darcy was fired years ago, but even I'll admit he never gets fleeced. He might not have the stones to make a big trade, but he won't get fleeced. He'll just pass if he doesn't get what he wants.

Is this for Pominville? Regehr wont fetch that much. - Rally_Shots
It's for Regher. What do you think Regher is worth? To me he worth more then just a 1st round pick. But with that being said i would be willing to edit Option 1 to a 1st and 4th round pick in this years draft. The 4th becomes a 3rd in this years draft if the team wins a playoff round. If not a 1st and 4th with a top 10 prospect. Will not be a top 5 prospect anywhere 6-10 |

This is where I don't trust Darcy as he is famous for trying to squeeze more out of the deals. Remember the Barnaby fiasco? Pittsburgh's GM said that the deal had been on the table for weeks but Darcy insisted on getting another mid-round pick in the deal. That's ok sometimes, but in that instance Barnaby was a cancer on the team and needed to go ASAP. |

Regehr will not get traded unless there is a very good prospect coming back Darcy's way.
I think we all know that.
LA / Pitt / Det whomever it may be.
One thing we can count on is that Darcy will not lose a deal. |

Why not? He's gone in a month. If the best offer is a 5th rounder and he wants to go, he goes.

from the last blog
Remember he is only 23!! It took Stevie Y until he was 25 to start being that dynamic 2 way player (No I dont think Cody is Stevie Y part deux that belongs to Toews) But its possible - Stripes77
Stevie Y didn't become that dynamic 2 way player until Bowman went to Detroit in 93/94. Stevie Y was 28.
His point total went from 137 in 92/93 to 82 in 93/94. He never scored 100 points or over 40 goals again. He was only a ppg player 3 times in his last 12 years. |
