Agreed 100%. Not only is Hags good at killing penalties, but his speed on the PK always give us a chance to possibly get something going shorthanded.
And as I said with Kreider and to a certain extent Miller, either let the kids play or send them down and have them play top minutes and learn more. What is giving Kreider 8 minutes of ice time doing for his development? Absolutely nothing. Does Torts really think Boyle is more capable of scoring than Kreider? Give me a break. Torts destroying these kids development scares the poop out of me. - RAG$4LIFE
Not to mention that it is burning up another year of his contract |

I think they wanted a big body in front, lord knows our opponents do it all the time.. Actually liked the move since pp sucks anyway - Slimtj100
Yeah your probably right, it can't get any worse. But Kreider is a big boy in his own right. I'd rather have him screening the goalie than Boyle honestly. |

Maybe torts thinks they have already traded with the sharks and its Dan Boyle he's sending out there on the pp - way out west
Speaking of defenseman, Boumeester to St. Louis for two top prospects and a first round pick and Regehr to LA for two second round picks. |

You can't make this stuff up |

Desperate move though, they are hanging on to a playoff spot and they mortgaged a lot of future for a good but not great defenseman.

But Boyle is playing so well, he has to eat up a lot of minutes over younger and better players such as Hagelin. |

They certainly didn't need the goalie they gave the Flames. They have Halak and Allen. The 1st round pick will be 14th overall at it's highest. I think it's a good deal for the Blues. |

Blues have been on the way up for a while now imo. I think they'll be a force in the West the next 5 years. |

Unfortunate their goaltending is no where near the same level of performance as last year...Brian Elliot..reminds me of the South Park movie with the Brien Dennehy cameo

Defensemen always go for much more than forwards, especially wingers. |

He was completely responsible for that first goal by Antropov. I'd rather have Staal playing blind than have Hamirlik in there. - RAG$4LIFE
I also assign responsibility to Miller. Neither player knew what the other was doing. If Hamrlik goes to chase the other forward in deep then Miller should come down to protect front of net. But that requires communication and that's one thing that is missing too much this season. |

If they miss and say, end up 9th in the west the chances of the blues pick winning the lotto is .01% |

I didn't have anything against him, he started winning faceoffs and lining penalties. He certainly wasn't brought in to score.
I really don't understand the benching of Kreider though. Just boggles the mind. |

The only reason I put the blame on Hamirlik was because he clearly saw Eminger in front of him chasing the puck carrier. As a defender you just can't leave the net wide open, plain and simple. I didn't see Miller's positioning on that first goal so I don't know how much at fault he was. |
