Wrong, you cant compare the two sports where every single play at least 10 men on each side go head first into each other. I know what you are saying but the NHL will never ever be full face masks. Half shields most likely but never full cage - Stripes77
And that's fine. I'm not exactly in charge of the nhl so it's not like my opinion affects them, but I agree it should be just like a seatbelt
And in most states you are ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt.
And what about the quarterback? The kicker?
They don't slam i not each other on every play but they wear a full helmet because when something does happen (a puck to the face) they are protected. No one cries about it in football, so why is it a big deal in hockey?
I wasn't wearing my seat belt when I got t-boned, It saved my life. - dadeadhead
scariest thing.. Hanging upside down from your seatbelt in a rollover.. I rolled my Mustang Convertble with the top down on the 400.. and the Seatbelt and the roll bar saved my life..

nice, 5 posts and already called a name....
Maybe you should join society and realize....
People don´t care about death and cigerettes, alcohol ect...
Moderation means not buying alcohol over 5%
The NHLPA decides not YOU and they don´t want face masks....deal with it. - toddkac
It's not a name. Is an adjective describing my difficulty understanding you.
I do realize this. I do realize people don't care. I smoke. I'm not saying I should be in charge. Just sharing my opinion. Is that not allowed?
Maybe you could take some of your own advice. I never "called names" but saying "maybe you should join society" is (frank)ing rude and obnoxious so thanks
To me wearing a cage/visor is like wearing your seatbelt. I don't think you should be forced to do it, but you're still a dumbass if you don't. - buffalofan19
maybe we should all walk around in foam suits with parachutes, life jackets and bulletproof vests on us at all times
Because a good roster player would be going that way think Pommer and Enroth for Bernier and so and so its not a Enroth for Bernier straight up deal - Stripes77
I mean i can sit here all day and come up with proposals. LA is a stanley cup winning team. They really dont need to change anything or do anything drastic. I just dont really see them as a great partner.

Look at the kickers "facemask" Come on now. A puck in the face that causes serious damage (broke bone missing teeth) happens what maybe 15 times a season? Its part of the game. If football players didnt wear a mask it would happen 15 times a game. Like I said I understand what you are saying but your comparison is awful.

I think if they could land pommer for giving up a prospect and a back up goalie they would jump on it thats all.
