Cool. Maybe the Flyers should move Rinaldo for a first and 2nd. He's younger than Iginla and is signed past this year. Sure, he doesn't have Iginla's track record, his locker room presence, anything close to his career production. But if all it's based on is contract status and not any skill/personality, I say the Flyers do it. Should be simple. - jmatchett383

If Regier nets a first for Stafford he cements his job here next year.. I just don't see it. Drew has been useless this year. Would I enjoy it? Absolutely. - thisisderrik
I really dont think its that crazy. Gaustad? |

I don't think so. Stafford is not nearly as bad as he's played this season. He needs a change of scenery BAD. Darcy could definitely get a first for him. |

gaustad was a once in awhile trade and shows that you shouldnt give up a 1st for aplayer straight up. |

I truly believe Gaustad is way more important to any playoff team then Drew Stafford would ever be. We got extremely lucky to squeek a first out of nashville last year. Drew is just another streaky winger. Plenty of those float around around the deadline IMO. |

funny cause IDK if youre a fan of numbers and reading but Pommer has been outproducing Iggy for this season and last. Might not be much, but when you want to talk about Iggy final year, and age, and flames circumstance, yea pommer will most likely get you more. But what do I know, I am not a flyer fan. |

Don't bother, the guy contradicts himself every other post. He has no idea what he's talking about. Hell, I have no idea what he's talking about. |

Nashville was in a unique position which almost allowed them to be (very) dumb. A lot of people had them reaching the finals and they certain thought they could get there too. Gaustad could fill a number of roles. What does stafford do if he's not scoring?? He doesn't hit, win faceoffs or kill penalties or provide any of the intangibles Goose supposedly brought |

Saying that, if Sidney Crosby is a UFA, and Dan Carcillo isn't, that Crosby will bring a better return. Sure, it would be preferred that he was signed for multiple years, but talent and pedigree play a much more major part. - jmatchett383
You're in here every day saying the same thing over & over
No one wants to hear it
We'll get what we get... There's really no point in arguing it...
And why do u care anyways?
Just let it go... In a few days u can come back n say "I told u so" if you're right
Till then,
We are going to base our trade predictions more on how Darcy got a 1st for a 4th line center (gaustad) last year than we will on any horrible trade the worst GM in the league (feaster) makes |

Honestly, id just be happy with any move that frees up a roster spot for a younger player to come in. Grigo wouldnt have been on the 4th line if spots like staff werent there |

I agree with you, man. Love him or hate him, Stafford is an NHLer, and a pick is just a guess and a hope. Stafford could get a first from the right team. I think he'd be worth it to that team, too. He's just been too comfortable in Buffalo. Put the guy in a new locker and he'll feel the need to be accountable to his new teammates... and he'll start playing better. |

Although with the Bus its similar to a Sabres situation are they going to go for it and risk messing up a future by keeping their picks |

Grigo should not have been on the fourth line either way. I am still annoyed by that. Once they decided to keep him here past his five game stint they should have been committed to giving him top 6 minutes with skilled players. Not stuck with players like Kaleta/Scott/Hecht. Absolute waste. |

I agree, but he would be in a better situation there than he is here. Might even see playoff hockey. He would also round out their top 6 nicely, and Columbus is a very underrated place to live. |
