clowe rhymes w/ slow...seravalli actually said that clowe was faster than hartnell and had hands just as good...frank must be on adderall when he watches clowe play

He's definitely not going to beat Matt Read in a race for a loose puck. He does score his 20 goals or so a year, generally. Just worry that they will overpay for a guy who is struggling.

Jay Feaster's not having a good year...

Fleeced by St. Louis in Bouwmeester deal,
Fleeced by Pittsburgh in Iginla deal,
Didn't realize O'Reilly had to go through waivers,
Signed Wideman to a god-awful contract (after giving up assets for his rights),
Drafted Mark Jankowski in the 1st-round, then proceeded to annoint him the "best player" in that draft (lol).

man, if that was Homer Flyer fans would be surrounding his house with pitchforks and torches.

Simmonds provides that sort of play, but Hartnell is inconsistent as hell in that regard.

I said earlier today that if they got Clowe,Ifelt Simmonds was going in another direction for a Dman. I am totally against what Homer is doing. I will wait to see the end product, but I think after the win yesterday Snider gave Homer the "get to work" look, and Homer just looked at the ground with hands in pockets and kicked peanut shells with an"awwww shoot" look. The trade today was probably for cap reasons to save a little bit so when we buy out Briere, it may help offet that some. I believe this guy will be a free agent at the end of season. But Clowe, I'm not liking this at all.

Clowe/Briere/Hartnell... can you just imagine the number of pointless stick infractions, all the late-game penalties, and all the random glove throwing on breakaway/playing the puck from the bench goodness we'd be in store for? Epic.

That's Doug Wilson was asking for, not sure he'll get it.

Jarome Iginla got a late 1st rounder and two middle of the road prospects. Hell, the two guys in that deal wouldn't even be the Flyers best prospects.

Why the hell are they even bringing in guys now?

Its an evaluation year, make moves after the season is done and prices aren't as inflated. I am not against a player like Clowe, but assets regarding trades should be used elsewhere.

Yeah, he'd fit right in.

Got to figure that getting him would be dominos, with another forward being moved for a defenseman. Otherwise, got to question why?

Simmonds is inconsistent also. Most players are inconsistent. Only the really top players are consistent in this League. If you want that, you're likely going to have to pay a lot more then what Hartnell and Simmonds earn.

That's why I feel Simmonds is a gonner if Clowe comes. I'm going to wake tomorrow to read that we traded Simmonds, Read, Gusty and a 1rst for Clowe, Boyle and conditional 6th. I will then proceed to drink myself into a slobbering booze coma at 6am.

I see Simmonds as a younger player, but the inconsistency in Hartnell's career, along with his stupidity has been chronic.

Its alright if we disagree, no worries here.

What would you be comfortable giving up for Clowe? Anything more than a 4th and Holmgren is dumb imo. Assets need to be saved for more crucial needs.
