It was a good hit, not even particularly vicious.
- wolfhounds

I didn't see it, but it really doesn't matter if it was a good hit. You want to respond if someone takes a run at your best player. Clean or not clean.

I think it has more to do with all the injuries in practice. Lavy wanted someone who would deter the Flyers from continuing to injure themselves during practice. Now, if you hit someone in practice you have to fight Rosehill. Genius when you really think about it.

I hear they're already relocation Shanahan's office to the Skate Zone to take care of that.

Yeah, think most players respond to the result, not the action.

"Admirals defenseman Jay D. Rosehill was arrested Friday and charged with stealing a car while his team was on the road. Rosehill, 22, was released on bond from the Broome County Jail on a felony charge of third-degree grand larceny, the Press & Sun-Bulletin newspaper of Bunghamton reported. His release came shortly before the Admirals played the Senators. The Broome County Sheriff's Office said a vehicle had been reported stolen from the parking lot of Madame Oar's, a Binghamton strip club. A club employee said she had started the car and left it to warm up when it was taken. Shortly after the report was made, about 1:25 a.m., a deputy spotted the car pulling into the parking lot of the Xhibition Gentlemen's Club. The deputy said he saw a man, later identified as Rosehill, run from the car, the Press & Sun-Bulletin reported."

Jake did. And we have Rino running around throwing 10 good hits per game and willing to drop the gloves. Simmonds will drop the gloves. Hartnell will drop the gloves. L Schenn will drop the gloves. Not sure about Oliver L, but he's size is a potential deterrent.

I'd be shocked if Rosehill was brought up to the Flyers instead of McGinn to replace Talbot. Or Wellwood, or Holmstrom. But I guess it could happen.

The Rosehill the Flyers traded for is 27 years old.

You want those players playing Hockey. Not sitting in the Penalty box for 18 minutes like Jake Voracek did. Rosehill was already added to the Flyers roster.

If they were simply looking to add some toughness then maybe they were leery of McGinn having to fight so soon after his injury.

Rosehill is a good pickup. I loved those Beverly Hills Cops movies.

It was bad, though, when he fell for the "banana in the tailpipe" trick.

Not me. I want players playing with passion, with intensity, and that means reacting in the moment. Exactly what Jake did. To me, that's sports.

But, with Rosehill in the lineup, all I can do is scratch my head.

Jay Rosehill has played and failed at both forward and defense during his young career.

Agreed, Jay Rosehill is a player who deserves to be on the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Playing team roster. Solid, smart return for Harry Z. I expect him to be a solid contributor both on and off the ice.
