Lightning have recall Mike Angelidis and assigned Dana Tyrell to Syracuse. - Michael_Stuart
I wondered if they'd bring someone up with more size due to Thompsons shanabanning. I feel bad for Tyrell, with all the undersized NHL talent, he's become the odd man out this year. |

Not my first choice (that would be my name sake ), but good team guy and locker room presence. What's the term and cap hit? |

I'm surprised with this one... he has guts to stand up to big guys, but he's pretty much a punching bag with minor checking line abilities. bummer |

Thought I was the only one a bit disappointed to see him resigned for 2 years. Good to know there are others out there who share my view lol.
Not dissing BJ, as it has been said he has guts, but that's about as far as it goes. Would've rather had Labrie playing the "enforcer" role.
Really have to see how much he signed for though to have a real view on the signing, though if it's more than the 1 million he is making this season, which it likely will be, I'll be a bit aggravated by it. |

Labrie isn't an overly strong skater. At least Crombeen can move and retrieve pucks. Not a bad signing at all. I like it. |

I dont disagree with you that he's a better player overall, but I would've rather had Labrie for a bit cheaper.
Though the 1.15 Crombeen got is alright.
Nvm. What am I saying, it's a decent signing. It's not like 300-400k is gonna make a difference anywhere. |

Food for thought.
If Malone can be gotten rid of, would you resign Pouliot?
I know even I was saying I didn't think he was gonna get resigned/I didn't want him to get resigned, but if he could be signed for 2-3 years for under 2.5/3 million per, I really wouldn't mind having him in the mix. |

The problem isn't Pouliot, but all the young talent we have that could make the jjmp to the NHL. The Crombeen signing was to balance out to offense, you know, with all the smurfs in our line up! |

With Killorn, Panik, Palat, Connolly, and Brown all theoretically ready for the show, I'm not sure there's a ton of room. That being said, I do like what he's done this year. Third line of Pouliot-Thompson-Connolly next year? I don't know. |

Conacher Stamkos Purcell
Killorn Lecavalier St. Louis
Panik Johnson Connolly
Palat Thompson Crombeen
Salo Hedman
Barberio Carle
Gudas Brewer
Aulie
Lindback
Helenius
I don't see anyway that this isn't our roster next year. They also have JT Brown as well |

I would put Gudas with Carle rather than Barberio. Those two seem to have a decent chemistry, both can move the puck and Gudas can take the body. Let Barberio benefit from having Brewer. I like Pouilot on the third too, hes a good skater, holds the puck well, and adds some much needed size without slowing down the "kids". I think he would slot better with Johnson. im undecided whether Connolly or Panik fits better. training camp will be exciting this year |

Well what do we do tomorrow? Stand pat? Sell ? I don't know anymore, maybe Malone and Brewer could go. We are in 14th but with a game or two in hand and everyone else losing and on our schedule coming up will Cooper have a chance at ruining our draft picks or will we play our usual road games asleep? Rangers and devils are not exactly lighting it up, isles playing better, buffalo already selling, and two with the Caps and Carolina one with the Jets, this division may send a team with only 48-50 points with everyone playing .500 hockey. Predictions anyone? |

There won't be much movement, but nobody will take Malone while he's hurt. |

MAB to Carolina for Adam Hall and 7th rounder. The fact that wa got anything for the turnover king is amazing! |

Can't help but absolutely laugh at anybody who thinks the MAB trade was a bad move in any way. Seriously, Yzerman got a 7th round pick for nothing basically...what's wrong with that? |

Yeah that's what I mean. I read the first 2 pages and I was just like......
Like does nobody realize he just got a draft pick for free? Clearly not |

People's criticisms of Yzerman as GM predate this trade. He gets a lot of heat for the risk he took with Lindback and for the fact that Matt Carle hasn't looked as good as hoped.
I don't get why TBL fans are so sensitive about criticism of Yzerman, or why people are so hard on him.
No GM makes the right move all the time, and there's more than one way to build a winning team. |

waitaminute... they got Hall back and they are going to waive him again? so confused.. we could actually use him on 3rd or 4th line right now, at least until Thompson gets back |
