i suppose he attempted to soften the stance abit after mentioning 'a player of equal value' by adding 'in a package'. but the contention was pretty clear i thought.
most of those guys on that list wouldnt be close to available even if jensen were near their value.. huberdeau? couturier? couture? johansen?
who trades these guys?
and most of the other guys that could possibly be dealt, he just flat out aint worth.
its so funny how the homer blinders work on hockeybuzz.
u have no problem laughing off other bloggers suggestions for trades (and most of the time, rightly so)
but when it's the home team; any comment that home team player would never bring that kind of return back sets u off and u lose it
and i actually did believe esplen was kind of fishing for hits, that's all i was saying. it was in no way a jab at the canucks or the posters. is esplen your brother?
maybe i was wrong about the fishing though. in that case; read the above paragraphs again.
and your response was embarrassing. u clearly cant have a rational conversation or be taken seriously in any discussion when the canucks are involved - hugefemale dog77
Wasn't really fishing for hits. More just trying to point out that if Vancouver trades one of their top 3 prospects they better find a way to replace them.
Hodgson for Kassian is still up in the air from a long-term perspective, but since Vancouver is s "win now team" they needed a guy who can be good now and not 3 years from now.

hmmm...interesting
LeBrun reported Nonis and Gillis have never spoken on the phone until recently because of some ill-will.
i guess it's possible the underlings crafted the trade but just seems strange a trade was supposedly in place without the two GM's talking
maybe they texted instead lol.

So even though our player pool is better than TO's and for the first time in a decade we are tied in the standings ,Canucks should give up top end players and a first rounder for TO's cast offs .
Dude it sounds like the weed back East is quite strong too . - VANTEL

Pass it to Bulis, Brown to Bure et al reporting Ballard for Jussi Jokinen.... Thoughts? Not 100% on jussi's salary, but if its favorable (compared to Ballard's it has to be) I'm good with that trade. |

Ecactly. Flash back to the Gillis interviews immediately after the trade. "Kassian makes us bigger and tougher going into the playoffs". Gillis was convinced Kassian was light years ahead of his actual developement and maturity even though he was typically invisible in Buffalo most games.... for such a big skilled player.
That was a year ago. Kassian is playing on the Wolves. This team has been offensively dead down the middle ever since.
People can point to the future all they want. Kassian and Hodgson are barely a year apart in age and CoHo is definitly not playing on the farm.... Hodgson was the future and/or a more valuable asset than how it worked out. As far as this teams needs and present situation.... I agree with the term you used...."disaster". |

DM says he heard it from someone who heard it from Luongo on SN today.
Luongo says he was never approached about the leafs or any team yet....
So who knows Vantel.... take your time on the rumours. There are so many...

I wonder why they insist on having their farm team half a continent away. why not try to get them in Abbotsford? |
