A 3rd isn't a token pick.......

It would be roughly the 80th pick in the draft. Not many make it into the NHL that are taken at that spot.

TSN reports the Toronto Maple #Leafs may sign NCAA D Andrew MacWilliam this week

Hey, sorry if it was mentioned, but did you see his hit on some kid. All legal, but broke the kids collar bone and sternum.

So what you're saying is that Reimer is better than Luongo?

- faceto27

Their numbers right now say so......... but not I didn't say that, and it's absurd that you'd think that. What I said is it's better to have a younger cheaper option that is performing > Currently, and wont cost and leg.

What I asked you was if the contracts were identical. Would you rather have Luongo in net or Reimer in net?

Also, that what we would give up for him is nothing more than say pending UFA like MacArthur and a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Thanks, I know the math just fine....... and I don't care. Why would you trade anything for a goalie who is sucking that much, is that old and has had that many injury issues??

I'd take Kipper all day long over Scrivens.

If you are comfortable heading into the playoffs with a goalie tandem of Reimer and Scrivens, well then we will respectfully disagree on this.

And I answered. I'd rather the younger cheaper option with better current #'s......and I'd rather keep MAc+2nd or move them for something else worthwhile.

The only reason the Canucks still have Luongo is that contract...The dude would have brought in a huge haul with many teams bidding for him...

The question is...why aren't you?

Do you think we make some kind of run in the playoffs with Luongo in net?

I this is a good time to point out that their contracts are not identical

Leafs aren't winning the cup this year or next. That puts us into Luongo decline-time.

It's incredibly short-sighted to trade for Luongo.

I've seen it too many times before with the Leafs.

No thank you

Wouldn't mind making an offer for JBo... Calgary can probably be convinced to take a decent prospect or two and a 2nd. However, I'd rather keep most of our prospects and picks and makes moves around Free Agency or come draft time.

So for us to de-throne Pitt or Bos in a 7 game playoff series...all we need is Luongo in net?

Seriously?
