Well, poop. He's better than Luongo. Where do I sign?

Two more days to go. Its going to seem like forever. I used to get all giddy when that breaking news was coming through and the Leafs where mentioned in a trade. This year, Ill be holding my breath.

Exactly true. I am more scared than hopeful about this trade deadline.

The team made progress this year. The last thing they should do is derail that and damage their cap position going forward. They aren't on the verge of winning anything.

Great draft to have three 1st round picks.

How many Jankowski clones you think there will be this year?

Too bad Gardiner's in Carlyle's bad books.....Liles likely could've gotten a 2nd based on what Regeher and J Bo went for.

Liles should be gone too while they have the chance.

One is enough. League can't handle any more.

One's a writeoff, the other, Cundari looks alot like Giordano. Frenchie, know anything about him?
- mykokes

According to Corey Pronman he's going to be maximum a PP specialist as a defenceman.

Take a look at your favorite team's pipeline. Do you see 2 weaker no-name prospects? Voila, your team is in the mix for a top CGY player

Again, the problem is Carlyle doesn't seem to trust Gardiner, I didn't believe it till he started openly saying it. And we're in a playoff race. So, as long as we don't move our first, I think its status quo.

Yes it is...

4 once they trade Kipper..

With all the talk that he wouldn't report to his new team and that he needs a new contract to not retire, they'll be extremely lucky to get a 1st for him. That would be an idiotic price to pay at this point.

I always do. Same with draft day. I always end up with excess days off so I decided to start using some for stuff I'd enjoy.

There were a few deadlines several years back that were more exciting, for sure.

I think I'd feel ripped off trading a vacation to watch it nowadays. Last year's hit an all time low for the excitement factor.

I don't think I could listen to Doug Maclean talk about Ruutu for 5 hours, only to have him stay put.

It's only a matter of time before Kostka starts playing like the AHL player he really is.

I'm going to organize a bloody, violent coup against the current Leafs' management and re-install Burke as the GM.

I honestly can't think of anything of consequence lately. The big deals all get done in the weeks leading up to it now.

That's what they're probably talking to him about. Odds are he wants his new team to agree to give him a new deal once he can get one.
