Scrivens is 26ish, so he's free in not too long.

We didn't 'develop' him in the same sense that we drafted Reimer.

Having two solid goalies, one experience, and one the heir to the top job, hasn't hurt anyone as long as contract situations don't get sticky like Vanouver.

I suppose they could shelve him for the year and keep him in the press box. I think they can put him in the AHL to start next year.

But they're talking extension now (on top of his remaining 6 mil year in 2013/14). So, how long is Scrivens okay with starting in the AHL?
