Or Scrivens and a 4th that becomes a 3rd. The Flames add another NCAA guy and get a draft pick. Leafs would have to waive Scrivens and probably lose him for nothing if they didn't trade him.

I should know better than this than to read too much into this on April Fools but I dunno, this Kipper to the Leafs kinda makes sense with what's being written. Plus Kipper has one year left which is a BIG PLUS. I suppose if it is true than Scrivens plus a 3rd is not a bad price to pay for goalie insurance in Kipper.

Of course Reimer gets kicked in the groin if the Leafs get Lu or Kipper or Miller or any other veteran #1 goalie. Reimer has played great this season. He deserves to continue to be the #1 goalie on this team, he deserves to be the starter for the playoffs. By getting one of the above mentioned, your pulling the plug on Reim as the #1 & sticking him at the end of the bench for the rest of the season & playoffs. He deserves to be treated better & he deserves to be rewarded not punsihed.

Yes the other bad thing to the Leafs getting abother goalie, is yes they will either lose Scrivens in a trade or on waivers. He has played great this season too.

Well Kipper & Reimer could split the duties. If Kipper sucks than just play Reimer. Not like Kipper would be our only reliable NHL goalie. We got Reimer too.

I guess but maybe I just like the idea because I don't believe in Scrivens at all.. Guess we will see what pans out but for cheap I'd be happy with him and goalies play til a older age usually and if we were to get him hopefully it would only be for a couple seasons.

You know what we wont have? Our 2nd round pick.

You know what else we wont have? Cap space to spare next season.

You know what else we wont have? Faith in our GM to stay the course and do this properly.

You know what we will have? A broken down, distracted, unreliable, declining player past his prime. And one GCHonda ignorantly blissful in a pear tree.

If they pull off Lou or Kipper I'll be sick to my stomach. The kids are developing into NHL goaltenders. Maybe not elite yet but pretty damn sound. Roy and Hasek were elite with quick reflexes and a couple other goalies were sound Brodeur and Belfour. Not the same style but angle and position guys and they turned into something pretty spectacular.

My biggest fear with Kipper is that he's walking into a very hostile situation. He'd be standing in front of the firing squad, waiting for them to shoot.

I mean, the fans and media would just tear him to shreds if he falters. TO is in love with the Reimer/Scrivens duo, and if we have to take on $6 million for a guy who is well past his best before date, he won't last long here.

That's the benchmark he has to hit, or he'll be compared to Scrivens/Reimer and get torched. And at 6 mil, he'd have the second highest cap hit on the team.
