Kiprusoff is coming from Calgary and considering what they got for Iginla, the price should be next to nothing.

If the options are Kiprusoff for next to nothing or Luongo for 10 years, the answer is easy to see.

As much as his numbers have been bad, new system, new start might help him, he has until this year pretty much been a top flight goalie. Might be good as a mentor for Reimer in that capacity as a split-starter. You never know these days. Maybe there's a bigger deal like one of Giordano/Jay Blow and Kipper for Mac and prospects and picks?

Sure, no one is fine. But if it has to be someone, better Kiprusoff for nothing than 10 years of Luongo.

Funny thing about Kiprusoff is that if he starts playing like he's been playing his whole career, everybody instantly falls in love with him. But the same would happen with Luongo.

Anyone know if we really got Smithson from Florida? Does this mean Bozak is packing his stuff??

I would think he would only come with a 3 or 4 year contract.

If not he will just head back to Finland and run hockey schools to make up for that teeny 1.5mill he will make next year!!!

That's the only way they get Kiprusoff. It's already been said multiple times by multiple good sources. Kiprusoff had no intention on playing next year when he signed his contract and he has no intention to leave Calgary unless somebody makes it worth his while.

Heard we trade 6th round pick for him. He's just a face off guy which makes me think Bozie might be gone.

Reimer isn't the one who gets a kick in the nuts. If they get Kiprusoff, they're probably sending Scrivens to Calgary since they're so damn high on NCAA guys.
