Even still, 10 million a year for the next three years and one year at 8.5 million. That's a hefty price tag. |

If you are to believe the tweets from Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell, then Hartnell has been traded to St. Louis. Giroux tweet deleted.

or at the very least proof he's better than Reimer. Since both came to NHL, that isn't clear.
Reimer's career numbers are essentially identical but playing on an inferior team. And Bernier's played considerably less games than Reimer has, and as a backup, so presumably against lighter competition.
It's not a guaranteed upgrade, but will cost considerable assets.

If it happens, wouldn't be surprised if it's for Stewart or a joke. |

No it isn't. Lecavalier and Garon cap hit is almost identical to the cap hit for Luongo and Ballard. Garon is a UFA so the Canucks save on the cap hit for next year while the Lightning save on real dollars because they don't have to give Lecavalier 48.5 million dollars over the next five years and can spend that money on two bigger needs which is defense and goaltending. |

just from single player standpoint is what I meant. Trading a terrible contract for an even worse contract with a higher cap hit when all is said and done.
better for Lightening for sure. but certainly not Gillis' preference. Think they'd trade Schneider first and reload that way.

probably better than a 5million dollar back up goalie. at least Lecavalier will get a chance to play - ky678468
Lecavalier and Luongo both have NTC. Luongo would waive it to go to Tampa Bay but would Lecavalier waive it to go to Vancouver? Maybe. |

No he's reporting a meeting between Fletcher and Nucks assistant GM a week ago to get recent talks started as well as further discussion between Gillis and Nonis..
I understand u not believing any this happening ..For me I see no reason for LeBrun to make this up...
