Lecavalier and Garon for Luongo and Ballard.
- Two_For_Truth

ya that would do it... and probably what both teams should do.

not sure Leafs have that much either.

Gillis calling and Nonis saying "oh you again?" and hanging up on him still qualifies as "talking to Leafs"

- Big_Lightnin

But according to LeBrun thats not how it happened or whats going on now..

Agreed...

Imo Nonis would like to land him but isn't forced to do so...All he has to do is wait out Gillis..
Get Luo for next to nothing or carry on with what he has...

Good situation for Nonis..

That contract is still scary though.

He was a monster in the year the Bruins won the Cup too. Winning seems to follow him around.
- Two_For_Truth

don't think the bruins are trading him to the leafs anytime soon.

Who would? So much for hockey heaven...

If Miller can't carry that team to the playoffs, Luongo would be in a very tough spot to do it. Although, Miller appears to have given up on his team so that could be the reason he isn't posting shutouts every night to carry them.

Pegula had his heart in the right place but he raised expectations too quickly. Putting that much money and hope into guys like Leino is suicide.

Just hope they don't get a good draft pick this year.

Has the Kipper talk died yet?

Why would we want a guy who hasn't made a single save in 2013?

I think the Leafs should make a run at Bernier. What do you think?

Do the Canucks really want to pay Lecavalier 10 million a year for the next few years to be a 2nd line center?

doesn't matter how it went down before - Leafs are in a much different position than they were before Season started.

Nonis's comments at presser all but said they were far more interested in Kipper than Luongo - looking to bring in a vet backup if doable for cheap.

Tampa makes more sense than Toronto at the deadline. if there is no trade and the leafs goalies haven't held up for the stretch + playoffs we'll kick the tires in the summer

nah - not enough of an upgrade for what it would cost... if it's even an upgrade, which has yet to be proven.

Nucks talking to four teams RE: Luongo

- lumlums

Yeah, I don't believe anything that falls out of that morons face...... "the contract will not hinder a trade"........ "It's all the media's fault"

Yep it's scary for sure.....

I'm not like most as i believe there are teams interested in Luongo(leafs being one of them) and don't care about his contract if they could land him for next too nothing..

That's going to cost them because Bernier is half the reason they're where they are right now.

Yeah I mean the defensive responsibility of a winger isn't nearly what it is for a center.

I wouldn't get too excited over anything Nonis said in the presser.....
