I think its literally a zip line from NHL offices in manhattan to the Island

I guess they'll need to redirect to Brooklyn soon...

Lums, we are talking about the Iles and the Nassau Barn Here, you give them way too much credit.... The wire is 3, 6ft extension cords, duct taped to the 35 year old Shag Rug in Snow`s Office.

gardiner is a 7th d-man til he figures out how to play defense

congrats.. you can skate.. now learn to use it in your primary role.. which is defense.. not offense

- Dozzer

He's not going to learn defense sitting in the press box... and they're not going to put him on the waiver wire to send him back down the the Marlies.

Play him or trade him.

Having Kostka on the PP isn't gonna cut it. That's Gardiner's job.

One of Liles or Komi can be moved.

I like Yandle and Kulikov, JBo isn't worth what CGY wants

- AngryWhiteMale

I agree with all of the above. Yandle or J-Bo for me.

Random question: With the leafs looking like they will make the playoffs, does that make you wish Burke was back considerign he built this team and not Nonis? Or has Nonis made any little moves that pushed them into a playoff team. I was just thinking how Burke has to be like wtf I built that team and they are going to the playoffs now.

And therein is the problem. This is where we share opinions, not peddle our own opinion as fact and then react aggressively or condescendingly to those who disagree

No ones taken Bozak's place yet.
- honesthockey

the minute Kadri learns to take faceoffs, Bozak is obsolete.

but McLCement's taking more D-zone faceoffs lately - could be they are getting used to not having Bozak?

24 million in cap space....
If we drop Komi
Worse case scenario contracts

Bozak 4
Kadri 5
Komorov 2
Colton 1
Mclaren 750,00
Gunner 3
Franson 3.5
Fraser 1.5
7th defenseman 1

Thats 21.750

Still leaves us 2 million and that is without buying out or trading liles....

Komi has been moved to his permanent home - I like Liles since his wakeup call and think Gardiner is not quite ready. Be nice to pick up a d without giving up too much - could send Kostka and a 2nd round pick - gunner if we have too but it would have to be a much better shut down d coming back.

Leafs should have tried to grab Methot in the offseason - that's the type of d they need!!!!

Traded Lombardi, and demoted Connolly and Komisarek. Was a big step in allowing Kadri the ice time to develop in what he has so far. I hope that Nonis doesn't live up to his Canuck days and generally remain too timid to make necessary trades. But, in the long run it worked out for the Canucks as well.

Is it a fact that Kessel has had 2 career years with Bozak as his center? Is it a fact that Bozak sit's at number 2 in icetime behind Phaneuf?

neither

the leafs are gunning for the playoffs. now isnt the time to work on developing kids in the NHL

let him work his tail off in practice til he EARNS his way back in

handing him a spot isnt going to accomplish anything. he will get back in.. but only on carlyle's terms

Which likely keeps him in his current role for another month or two.

With Grabo at 5.5, and Kadri to lock up he'll likely get offered more to play elsewhere.

Always felt that Burke should have been kept this season. He made a few major changes at the end of the season, bringing in a new coach, making the JVR-for-Schenn trade, and signing a shut-down center... would those are team-changing moves. Shoulda seen their effect before getting rid of him.
