Bozak isn't going to ask for that kind of money anyway. The guy is not an idiot... he knows full well that if he goes somewhere else he won't be the "1st line center"... and he also knows that Kessel's deal is up next year as well. Not likely that he's going to be greedy.

If both sides are reasonable, Bozak will sign something like 3 years at 3.25 - 3.75 per year.

Kessel has had two career seasons with Bozak and no one has taken Bozak's position. If I'm his agent I'm using it.

He'll be an effective NHLer, i don't doubt that. I don't hate Bozak at all, but even matt stajan and his two 50 points seasons was only able to get 3.5M out of Calgary. I can't see Bozak getting more than that and I don't believe he's the best centre on this team for Kessel. He is a solid PKer though, and I don't think we're better off trading him anymore. This team is going to need 3 lines come playoff time, and I don't think there's a centre on the market that is an upgrade on what we have on those 3 lines.

Our discussion initially was that Bozak wasn't going to be a part of the future unless he accepted a smaller role ..and salary. You chimed in and let us know that Bozie was worth more because he's great with Kessel.
