I sometimes wonder whether the media truly thinks this team is that bad or if its because its trendy to hate the Leafs and taboo to say anything positive.

I remember on TSN or Sportsnet, can't remember which, when they were giving their predictions for the season. One of them predicted the Leafs would make the playoffs and the rest of the panel laughed at him and treated him like a vagina at an STD buffet.

It was sportsnet. Brad May said he thought we'd creep into 8th and Doug MacLean and Kypreos pretty much gave themselves a pinksock from laughing so hard...

nope. Pittsburgh has an awesome offense, no doubt(even with Crosby missing) but with Martin and Letang out, that defense is looking real thin.

Boston on the other hand has Chara.
