Hoping that we don't move Gardiner, same way I hoped we wouldn't move Kadri.
Not even sure I want this team making any moves anymore.....I was on the move Bozak train, but why mess with our top 9. If there was a way to get Grabo off the snide, like tell him he looks more like Suglobov then Datsyuk, get him pissed off, or maybe Fraser can give him a concussion in practice, and he'll bounce back and become a great player again.....but I have no idea if anything that's out there and available is even an upgrade on what we have. |

No, I backread some of this thread.
Komi, Ashton, Mac and a 3rd seems to be the new Ryder, Halak, 2nd
The winning combination to get you any player in the league. - AdamFrench
any trade with Komi in it is a dead give away it's either fake or an idiot.
Everybody in the league knows he's going to be bought out this summer. Anybody who "wants" him can sign him for cheap in July...

Leafs can put up a losing record for the rest of the year, and still have a great chance at making the playoffs. - Feeling Glucky?
4 wins and a couple ot losses clinches us.
Teams have to pass us in points because of the tiebreaker wins we've banked. |

Reilly has another year of junior eligibility correct? He shouldn't do anything other than go back to junior, dominate at the WJHC... if the idiots at hockey canada actually play him - and then play out the remainder of next year with guys his age. While not a tiny guy, most of these guys simply aren't physically mature enough to handle the NHL at that age. - BorjeFan4Ever
and "eligibility" in this case means he CAN NOT play in the AHL... he's not old enough.
and ya. Reilly definitely has some filling out to do at the very least. |

there is simply no reason to rush prospects.. none at all.. odds are it hurts their development.. sure.. there are few who thrive.. but honestly.. why take the chance if you dont need to?
in front of rielly on the PMD depth chart is Liles & Gardiner.. and gardiner cant even break into the lineup right now - Dozzer
Kadri is the poster boy. |

I still hate that rule. There are guys that are too good for junior but not good enough for the NHL that get strung along that should be in the AHL. Guys like Nino, Girgorenko, soon to be Rielly next year and so on, that rule always bugged me. |

stats I posted earlier were wrong.
If the Leafs put up a 2-7-3 record, they've got a 65% chance of making hte playoffs.
Going 3-7-2 gives them a >90% chance of making it
Leafs can go 5-2-5, and still be 100% guaranteed to make the playoffs
even a poopty 3-5-4 record gives them a >99% chance of making it. |

Sabres Robyn Regehr says "it would depend on situation" as to whether he'd drop his no-trade clause, adds there have been no extension talks
Thats odd...... I thought you lose your NMC once you are traded.

It would take a collapse of epic proportions for us not to make it this year.

Kypreos hit the nail on the head when he says " the east sucks this year" and making weak teams look better than they are..I totally agree...frankn 1/2 the teams or more are in need of better goaltending or goalies back from injury etc.
this has helped the leafs etc...not going to mention other teams it helps as I'm sure the fans will be here ripping me and telling me how good Therrien and Bergeron are...whoops...I said it!! |
