Wouldn't offer anything for him as imo he's not what the leafs need and wouldn't come cheap.....

The Leafs could use a D-man and if Nonis gonna trade for one i hope it's someone we could get 2-3-4yrs out of especially if it means giving up a combination of picks and prospects....

trade schneider

if they cant get what they want for luongo i bet thats exactly what they do

unless gillis can convince aquillini that throwing away 40million dollars ins a good idea

- Dozzer

make sense, but I don't think there's any way that Gillis survives unless he's able to deal Luongo... no way he'll be able to ask for the 27M+ it would take to buyout Luongo... and I'm guessing that dealing Schneider at this point would also cost him his job...

he's created a mess.. and everyone who matters, the Vancouver ownership and the other GMs know it...

this situation is actually very similar to the Calgary situation prior to dealing Gilmour...

I dont know bro, I think we were close that year...

most leaf fans remember that era fondly

they were knocked out in roound one after finishing 9th overall

hardly a powerhouse by any stretch.. they were a middle of the pack playoff team.. not a favorite at all.

Have you looked at his Corsi and Fenwick? If the Leafs could pick him up, he would add 2.56 to 4.45 wins.

Kadri is the Leafs number one center, plain and simple, he's our star. JVR-Bozak-Kessel is our second line, and theres nothing wrong with that IMO. Kadri has pulled this team on his back for almost 10 games this season, before Lupul catapulted us into even more success, and its allowed Bozak to escape the pressures of being a number 1 center.

He's actually playing great as of late (Bozak). He does alot of little things well that go unnoticed. Little stick lifts that prevent goals, he wins battles in every zone, especially the corners with his shiftiness and determination, he always lays the body which goes unnoticed, and his hands in tight are great (he can finish). The dynamic in the line is a little weird as there is no true playmaker (though Kessel has done a solid job of it this year), but they're getting the job done (WE'VE BEEN WINNING GAMES).

Our forwards aren't our issue, the issue is we're overplaying Dion and he is terrible when playing over 25. His numbers under 25 mins per are GREAT, but in games he's play more than that, his stats are disgusting loll. Number 2 defenseman and perhaps some prospects, are all we really want at this stage in our progression.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Among teams that I believe have at least talked to SJ are Flyers, Wild, Canucks, Habs, Rangers, Bruins... and believe there are more...

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Not written in stone but possible a Clowe trade goes down today... Clowe camp and Sharks on same page as far as teams in mix. Clowe has NTC

Robidas is so underrated its stupid. He's exactly what we WISHED we were getting in Beauchemin only he's so much more composed with the puck, and from the right side which is VERY important for us right now (BYE KOSTKA LOL).

In fairness though, Kostka has been put in situations he shouldn't be in. AKA PP2. He can eat minutes, but when he starts adding to that on the powerplay it gets ridiculous.

In the subject of Robidas though, i wouldn't trade more than MacArthur a prospect like D'amigo, and maybe a late pick.

I agree 100%. These guys have played well enough for us to make the playoffs. No we wanna trade a large number of them of more expensive older players. Then, when trade doesn't work we will go through a period asking why can't the Leafs rebuild. It's the media, we say.
- walshyleafsfan

true... what Nonis is no doubt trying to manage is less the on-ice team and the heads and mindset of his young goaltenders. if he(Nonis) acquires a veteran goalie he quietens the media machine fueled by the morons Cox, Simmons, Berger etc ... about how will the "young inexperienced goaltenders handle the increase pressure of the playoffs"...

shouldn't be necessary but in the Toronto market it is... unfortunately.

if anything Nonis should be coming out publicly and labeling his team as underdogs .. how no one expected them to really make the playoffs ... let them play free without overthinking... this is where I miss Burke....
