The way things look now, Avs could have had two of MacKinnon, Drouin and Seth Jones had they not matched Cgy's offer sheet to O'Reilly. - faceto27

and than take a look at there performance..Robidas older but still a solid player..Leopold garbage compared to him.. - Fruitcakenipple
well then.. if they want a first walk away
too much for an old d-man way past his prime
sure he is still sound and brings experience but he isnt worth a first. |

cept there was this team called new jersey they couldnt beat if their lives depended on it
they needed a hell of a lot more than nolan to get over that hump - Dozzer
Was that the same time we had Brian Leech? Becuase I thought that was the year we could have won it... but was that the year Philly beat us out?
Somebody refresh my memory! |

Thats my point, I don't see how they will ever get a #1 center without gutting other key positions...I'd rather run with Bozak and trade for another legit #2 (Hanzel, B.Schenn, Zajac) and hope for the best... - Flyfreaky
Kadri is the Leafs number one center, plain and simple, he's our star. JVR-Bozak-Kessel is our second line, and theres nothing wrong with that IMO. Kadri has pulled this team on his back for almost 10 games this season, before Lupul catapulted us into even more success, and its allowed Bozak to escape the pressures of being a number 1 center.
He's actually playing great as of late (Bozak). He does alot of little things well that go unnoticed. Little stick lifts that prevent goals, he wins battles in every zone, especially the corners with his shiftiness and determination, he always lays the body which goes unnoticed, and his hands in tight are great (he can finish). The dynamic in the line is a little weird as there is no true playmaker (though Kessel has done a solid job of it this year), but they're getting the job done (WE'VE BEEN WINNING GAMES).
Our forwards aren't our issue, the issue is we're overplaying Dion and he is terrible when playing over 25. His numbers under 25 mins per are GREAT, but in games he's play more than that, his stats are disgusting loll. Number 2 defenseman and perhaps some prospects, are all we really want at this stage in our progression. |

I don't think Reimer will turn out to be an elite goalie and we may have to acquire one at one point. This is not the time to go get one since there don't seem to be any that make sense available. - Canada Cup
The only goalie I would target (though the chances of them dealing with us are minute at best) is Ryan Miller. Buffalo are apparently in all out fire sale mode, he has a reasonable contract length and cap hit, and he plays his best hockey in the ACC!!! |

Your answer is just another reason why the Leafs should stay the course and not make any stupid trades involving key pieces... |

This is why a rebuild can't happen in Toronto.
Read the last 2 pages.
The team is young and about to make the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade. What is some of the discussion? Trading Kadri and Kessel, adding a 34 year old goalie with almost a decade long contract...
Come on Leaf fans, turn up the happy, turn down the stupid. - systemtool
I agree 100%. These guys have played well enough for us to make the playoffs. No we wanna trade a large number of them of more expensive older players. Then, when trade doesn't work we will go through a period asking why can't the Leafs rebuild. It's the media, we say. |

That's fine, from what I recall the moon sees less ice time than Orr and McLaren |

I definitely agree. Before next year i'm hoping Colborne can replace grabo at a much cheaper rate, though. He's better defensively and on draws as well, 3rd line could always use some size aswell, though he's not known for throwing his body. Bozak needs to be resigned actually IMO. Just not for the 5 mill thats being speculated. 4.2 would be ok with me. |

Wouldn't offer anything for him as imo he's not what the leafs need and wouldn't come cheap.....
The Leafs could use a D-man and if Nonis gonna trade for one i hope it's someone we could get 2-3-4yrs out of especially if it means giving up a combination of picks and prospects.... |
