Lou is the master of trading for the unknown catalyst. I agree, if a fix is made, it will be someone no one expects. See Vanek, Thomas. Lou will either get a major player, or some guy no one outside of Bratislava has heard of - jerseyleaf
I'd like to see a 1st rounder for him. I guess we'll see. One of our D should be moved by Wednesday night, at least.
I think the highest player on my trade deadline wish list (not saying it will happen) is Brian Campbell. While our problem is scoring I think we'd benefit less from another depth forward and more from a real solid offensive defenseman. I'd love to see Lou try to put together a package, maybe centered around Clarkson, for Campbell.

I'd rather stop trying to use him as a top 6 forward than trade him. Him and elias went through one nice stretch and now are inseparable, even though they show no chemistry together. - rmdevil313

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Why get Burns, Schneider, Bernier, or Yandle when you can get D'agastoni. - Devils9503
What did D'Agostini cost?
Absolutely (frank)ing nothing.
Can't say the same for Burns, Schneider, Bernier, or Yandle. We don't have the assets we'd be willing to or can afford to part with to get players like that.

Clarkson's an asset. I'm pretty sure anyone of the first three teams would be interested. Coyotes are trying to get rid of his cap hit, so if JJ was dealt in a package for Yandle, I'm sure they'd at least listen to the offer. However, doubt anything will happen that has an impact for a playoff run, so it will be a first round exit. D'agostini does have a cap hit, so I wouldn't exactly say absolutely nothing.
