TJ, I sd have said, after the Malachuck/Zednik injuries, Theismann & the kid todays injury were the worst. Losing 3 pints of blood in a matter of seconds trumps a
Bag of bones. Sickening. Malarchuk should have been dead, the amount of blood on the ice is just nauseating.

- B2B76

Yea. Malarchuk was as close to death as anything anyone has ever seen. The camera was on that waaaaaaay to long

Zednik got off the ice so fast that it didn't seem as bad. But in reality it was just as bad

These 4 def are in the running for worst ever tho. Scary shyt

For who. Not even a slight chance those guys get you Edler and Kesler. Gabby's trade value is no where near what he is worth due to his cap hit. Kesler has a touch more value then Callahan. And Edler is a #1 d man on 2/3 of the teams in the league. Rangers included

I wouldn't trade you mcDs skate lace for elder nor would I take
Kesler over cally -way too injury prone.

My feeling is, the Rangers don't have a 1st round pick this year and the last thing I would want to see is Columbus getting a high 1st rounder in a deep draft. I don't see the Rangers going through with giving Tortorella the ax. In regard to trading, I may be in the minority but i would be adding, not subtracting. This team has been dreadful but with that said, they are right there and it takes one streak to move up those standings, they have the talent to do so especially with Hank in goal. I don't mortgage the future, or anything crazy given the uncertainty but all you have to do is get into the playoffs and anything can happen.

Yeh, I forgot about the Malarchuck injury when I said that today's was the worst I've seen. And obviously, there have been some deaths -- a few in boxing, at least one in hockey way back when, and the Luger in the Olympics a couple of years ago. Not the mention all of the really bad football injuries (i.e., paralysis). So, in retrospect my statement was inaccurate. But, it was probably the most gruesome one I have seen live (outside of Malarchuck).

Yea Kessler cornered the market on injury prone. Although edler, albeit a different player, is just as good as mcdonagh. Splitting hairs tho, they both a solid NHLers

Sell everything your team is crap but you have a few pieces of value. Why would you want to make the playoffs only to get swept by the penguins? Unless you get 7th or 6th and play the habs or jets can't believe I just say that habs and jets 2nd and 3rd lol what a treat for lower ranked teams this year

Another one up there was Cliff Floyd breaking his wrist in a collision w Todd Hundley, also Jason Kendall broken ankle rounding a base, but those were childs play compared to today.

Not seeing it at first today and only seeing the aftermath of people crying and whatnot I said jeez how bad could it be. Then actually seeing it was a shock to the system. Woofah

Give away Gaborik and try to add Stastny (the easier one to get). Pavelski can be had for something. He's been struggling a bit lately.
- Orpik44

Give away gaborik...not. Like someone here said, put him on Detroit
And he'll score 40 again. Guy did it LAST YEAR = he has value.
Get a clue.

He misses Olivia Munn, I know I would.

In all seriousness I think Richards is fragile psychologically. He got off to a bad start, the team has been terrible and I feel he is not able to handle either. So much was expected from him and the team and both came up horribly short thus far.

Malarchuk was when I was really young and I'll always rumbler seeing it on the news, others like Napolean Kaufman, Willis Magahee, and what happened to Marcus Lattimore earlier this year stick ou as gruesome, today's vaults to #2, Ware's leg looked like it crumbled into pieces, the reaction from the bench said it all

I've pointed to last seasons Pens who after 41 games were 12 points behind the Rangers in the standings and there were whispers about Bylsma's job. They turned things around, no? Almost caught the Rangers. It isn't too late and anyone who says so is a quitter. I'm not going to argue how likely it is or debate how disappointing this team has been. All I'm saying is it isn't too late. I still believe in the core group of players on this roster. Have you given up on Cally, McD, Girardi, Hank? There is obviously something not right with this team right now but I still believe there is a chance they can turn things around and until that chance is officially closed I won't give up on the season. If that means you all think I'm too much of an optimist or whatever then so be it. I don't really care at this point.

I agree -if they were to win 10 of the last 14, that would be
Turning the season around. Dunno that it will happen, but it is

Gaborik has a very low trade value right now in coming back from his shoulder injury and because of his performance so far this year. In fact, had it not been for the lockout, he would have missed the first 4 to 6 weeks of the season.
Gabby will score at the rate of 40 goals in an 82 game season under any other coaching staff's system. That's why unless some team is desperate to pay a reasonable price or more; it would be smart to keep him for now in case we replace this coaching staff, which does not utilize him properly; like playing him on LW for about 30 games until the switch back a few games ago to his career RW position where he is use to skating down to shoot on his off wing.
In addition, as I posted on Sunday here, Ken Holland, GM of Detroit, said on Saturday to a press member as reported on NHL.com, that he was not going to trade his 1st round pick, and would not want to pick up any type of rental players. They were the team that would have given us the most for Gabby.

You put it past me through the five-hole; the first April Fools joke here!
But it feels too cold outside for April right now.
Oh no; a long N.Y. season of baseball starts today. But more importantly, hardly any NHL sports talk anymore, if there was any that I had missed on you know who's show.
