Why in the hell would Chicago trade a 25 year old superstar winger...unless there were SERIOUS problems on/off ice? Buffalo certainly does not have the pieces to make it happen...it isn't even worth talking about.

That would be a mistake. Common sense says you acquire a goalie at the beginning of a season or off season in order to set your self up to make the playoffs, a bottom dweller doesnt pick one up at the deadline to try and make the playoffs. But I guess I am wrong, any-day you guys will be getting that top 5 pick from Edm, Tampa or FLA.

I am not a huge fan of Kane simply because I think he has a poopty attitude...but the dude is nearly a PPG player. Anyone that thinks the Hawks trade him to simply upgrade their goaltending needs a serious (frank)ing head check.

And when did that happen?? In the off season, Luongo aint going anywhere til July, and he wouldnt get as much as varlamov because of many changing circumstances since that trade.

Perhaps you are just not familiar enough with the system kids etc.
But the Sabres do have the pieces to get it done and I honestly believe that Pat Kane will be a Sabre at or around when his contract expires after the 2014/15 season
