Dude, ask everyone that's a non-Leaf fan and they'll tell you that you guys are the delusional ones. Luongo would be your best player, you gotta pay a price for an elite player even if he has a long ass contract. If anything, it helps the Leafs stabilize their goaltending for the next 8 years. - Nucker101
regardless everyone knows he has to be moved for van to ice a team next year. It doesnt matter what his value is in a vacuum. Eventually Gillis will have to fold and sell him for much less. Gillis' asking price will have to drop |

WOW. We're talking about actual current NHL players here. Luongo isn't (frank)ing 50. Your seriously telling me that you wouldn't trade a pending UFA Bozak, a late 1st and an unproven Gardiner for Luongo? WTF? - Nucker101
Yes yes thats excatly what he is telling you and im sure Nonis has already stated the same thing to your gm on many occasions..And this is why you still have over 9 mill in cap between both your goalies..No body is paying whats asked so really you still think every team out there that needs a goalie is wrong in saying the asking price is way to high?
You talk about a goalie that won a gold medal, how long ago was that?
He took you to the finals and you lost a couple years ago,how far did he take you last playoffs?Oh ya thats right he was benched the 2nd game in for your backup and then you got knocked out with him on the bench..Does this show you a team that has confidence in him still?
I can see Nonis doign something as stupid as giving you Bozak for him and maybe even a 2nd round pick..I consider that to much for him TBH but not a chance your getting Gardiner or a 1st round in the deal..Nonis def aint that stupid..Dont be surprised if Van has to deal Cory to free up some $$ that your tenders take up.And thats just because your tarded gm gave out such a sad contract to Lou in the first place..I have a feeling that Lou contract will be your Gm's downfall and eventually resulting in his job termination.. |

Really? cause since last summer Luongo at one point or another has been rumored to be going everywhere from Edmonton, to Chicago, to god knows where else and every fan base that were apart of that rumor all said the same thing. No thanks.
You are the canucks fan that gives your teams fans a bad name. Even most of your fan base and people on your forum know he has a terrible contract which is why he isn't being traded. |

Yes it does have to drop. It went from:
a top line player(Lupul/Kessel) + top prospect(Kadri/Rielly) + a first round pick
to
a 2nd line player(Bozak) + b prospect(Gardiner) + 2nd round pick |

Let's be honest the only reason why hes a B prospect is because he is playing for the leafs the whole media raved about a pass to lupul who was right beside gardiner for an open net. |

1. He got benched because Schneider is just as good as him(Henrik Lundqvist type goalie) and younger and cheaper, othrwrise Luongo would be untouchable.
2. Again, as Eklund said multiple teams are interested. So if Nonis won't beat out the other offers, Gillis will hang up and move on.
3. Nonis loves donuts and Gillis is prepared to use that to make him an offer he can't refuse if needed. |

Those "realistic" Canucks fans are just Leafs fans in disguise and total idiots! Eklund himself said many teams are interested, so let the bidding war begin! |

1) I think schneider is heavily overrated. Its opinion. Obviously i dont care spout all the stats you want goalies ride highs and low, perhaps he is great i just don't see it at all. In my opinion luongo had lost the starting job rather than schneider taking it from him
2) Your argument is based on eklund...
3) wut? |

Exactly! He can't even crack the NHL. He'd be behind Tanev on our depth chart, probably #6, and scratch him against big teams for Alberts since he's still young and needs to develop. Now that TO has a real coach, he isn't just handing him top 4 minutes that he doesn't deserve. |

Alrighty, pay up then! He costs more than Luongo since he's just as good plus cheaper and younger. Asking price is Kessel, 1st and Rielly. We'll throw in Booth and Higgins to replace your scoring. You upgrade goaltending big time and lose very little to no scoring. |
